So, I am a die-hard Jazz fan like the rest here, otherwise I wouldn't even have created an account. We all know it has been a rocky start and what I am about to say may come along with some boo's and it would never happen knowing our Jerry Sloan, but I am going to throw it out here anyway.
Ronnie B should come off the bench, and Wesley Matthews should be our starter in the 2-spot. For the love of god Ronnie I like ya, I like your high flying acrobatics and your powerful finishes, but you've been killing me lately. Killing me on the easy buckets. I see the typical chaos go on under the basket so it creates that open shot just inside the arch and the play works perfectly. You all know the one I am talking about, its the same one for Korver. Your wide open and the shot is taken, but its a miss. I have seen too many misses from you when your WIDE OPEN this year. Its killing me and those are the shots that should be easy.
On the otherhand we have seen Wesley Mathhews step up and make the wide open shots, the contested shots, even buzzer beaters when your off balance and its still nothing but net. We know Wesley is in his R year but that doesn't mean he shouldn't start. Look at all the rookies that start all over the league. I'd hate to say it but I have more faith in lil' Matthews right now then I do in some of our go-to guys. I mean I wish AK would stop shooting the ball, because his shot doesn't look comfortable and he's not hitting a very good FG %. Wesley coming off the bench outscores our starters with less time, even when going up against the opposing teams starters.
So sorry Ronnie B, I like your game, but at this point I think Wesley has your number, and even though it would never happen I would like to see how much damage he could do given a starting spot.
GL tonight @ NY.
