3/4 We should win & 1/4 Hard Work = 1 Full Loss

I am pretty sure that we can all agree on one thing so far this season.

When the Jazz have should-be wins on the floor that night. They seem to step onto the floor expecting all the pieces to fall into place and end up with a victory at the end of the night. They don't play with all the Zeal they typically do and they get pounced on by teams with half the skill.

Finally realizing that they need to seriously try for a win they put a ton of effort into the last quarter of the game and will have a truly good quarter, but it is already too late.

I am pretty sure we all saw this last night when they lost to OKC Thunder, as well as all of their losses this season. When the Jazz are going up against a good team (SAS, CLE, DEN) they go into the game knowing its going to be a challenge and they play hard for the majority of the game and they keep it neck and neck. But it seems when they are playing a team they SHOULD win they expect it and don't play with the same gusto as they do other teams and it is really disturbing to watch.

Last night in the 4th quarter when the Jazz knew they had to play hard and strong defense to have a change at winning they really shut down the offense of the Thunder. Now if they were playing that way out of the gate, it would have been an easy win. They would have been up by 20 going into the 4th and the rookies could have gotten the playing time they needed the final 7 minutes of the game. The Jazz should have blown that team out in 3 quarters and easily would have if they hustled the first 3 quarters like they did in the final.

Until the Jazz realize this and start playing every possession like theres 1 minute left in the match and they are down by one, then its going to be a long hard season for them as players, and a hair ripping out of head season for the fans.

Play 48 minutes hard and your the best team in the league, play for the final quarter and it looks like we will have 2 lottery draft picks after the season. (thanks Knicks).
