THE dagger of the decade?

Can such a title listed in the "subject" stand the test of time? I do know the new decade is essentially a little over two weeks old, but you know what happened last night will stay engraved in your memory for years and years to come. I was fortunate enough to witness "the dagger" straight into the heart of the staggering beast known as the Cleveland Cavaliers as time dwindled into the late hours of the evening... Sundiata Gaines is our hero.

This win the Jazz EARNED last night is very meaningful to any fan of the franchise, whether you're a diehard or casual. Meaningful in a way to the point of a championship-esque feel. For the first time in a long time the Utah Jazz make a headline story across many channels, that of which usually snub the Jazz of great performances/stats/etc. The TNT crew showed some love, NBATV listed Gaines's shot as the number one play of the week, and ESPN.com posted a cover story entitled "Utah Gaines a Hero." Finally, our boys get some well deserved respect.

All in all you could feel the tremendous vibe around Utah today. I'm sure if you were outside last night when the shot dropped, you could potentially hear the state of Utah... Erupt. Also I implore you to watch the shot at least one more time... take notice of coach Sloan run out on the court, arms emphatically bolstering above his head as a general would when a war was won... (when is the last time you saw that?
