Elementary Jazz Fans

By elementary, we don’t mean simple, we mean young, enthusiastic and eager to become JazzBots! Hi, we are the Crestview Elementary 6th grade writers! Our 6th grade student population is two-thirds boys to one-third of girls. Our school is located in Salt Lake City. Our teacher, Mrs. Chatterton is our leader. She has been a Super Fan!

We are all excited about writing about our favorite NBA basketball team. We will be writing about things that we are interested in knowing about, like the Jazz organization, the NBA, what it is like to be a kid-fan and many other topics that will come up as we explore our role as JazzBot writers.

This year we are studying about how to write to persuade people to agree with our view points. We hope that many of you will respond to our posts so that we will have more of an opportunity to write responses. If we can’t persuade you to see things our way, we can learn from that experience as well!

What a great way to learn technology in the classroom! I love that you kids are cheering for the Jazz at school. Make sure you get all your homework done before the games start this season so you don’t have to miss them! Maybe your parents will let you stay up a little later to watch the end of the games. Just make sure you keep up in classes so they don’t have an excuse to “bench” you!

I’m a Jazz fan who lives in Southern California. So, I have to deal with lots of crazy Lakers fans! I’m glad to know that you are cheering for our Jazz at school! Have fun!
