Of AK & Rodman
“If I want to wear a dress, I’ll wear a dress.”- Dennis Rodman
Speaking your mind is so important, and you should tell people how you feel. I admire Dennis Rodman because he always said what he wanted to say. That is probably the only thing I admire about him, but at least it is something. People say that venting can help calm your nerves, or you should write your thoughts out on a piece of paper. Whatever floats your boat right?
Maybe demanding a trade is like Andrei’s way of venting. I think that it was very important for Andrei to tell Jerry Sloan, his teammates, and us, the fans, how he is feeling. He probably just needed to get it off his chest. Now that he has said what he needed to say, hopefully he will return to the AK47 he can be. I know this is a little touchy, but maybe I am on to something. You know how after you whine to someone for a while and then they restate what you just said and all of the sudden life doesn’t seem so daunting? I am encouraging AK to be more like Dennis Rodman, and say whatever comes to mind.
I believe it is Stephen Covey who said that often people just need some “psychological air”, and they can get that by talking and having someone actually listen (Seven Habits). I am going to try and listen to Andrei. I will listen to him and try not to judge, get angry, or say what he should be doing. We should all try to give him “psychological air.” You never know, maybe he just needed to say what’s on his mind, and now he will be our 2007-2008 NBA MVP. I am going to hope for that. I want AK to keep talking and get everything off his chest.

I think that AK needs to stop whining and just play his heart out. He needs to listen to Jerry Sloan and Williams. I do not see AK being our 2007-2008 MVP, simply because there’s no way he’s going to do better than Williams. Williams works harder than AK, and listens to coach Sloan. That is the difference. I don’t know though, maybe AK will step it up and work hard this year. He pledged to do so. But if not, I will keep on saying that there is no point in having him here.
