On the Question of Stockton-to-Malone
Is it that we were witnesses
To a hand unseen? Something preternatural or mere routine?
May we attest to extrasensory perception?
Or something less supernatural…
Just perfection.
Coach calls the play
Karl sets a pick above the free throw line,
Has his hands raised high,
And John passes the ball in perfect time.
The stat-keeper instinctively adds two points.
The crowd begins to roar,
Before they even see the score.
Because they’ve seen it all before. The outcome is always the same,
And yet we never tire of the game.
Pick-and-roll, stop-and-go,
Stockton-to-Malone, the timeless flow.
A Utah tradition; a historic theme.
Defined two men…
A play…
A team.
So is it that we were witnesses
To a hand unseen?
Something preternatural or mere routine?
May we attest to extrasensory perception?
Or something less supernatural…
Just perfection.

Just listening to the beat of “Heaven Ain’t Hard to Find” off of 2pacs - All Eyez on Me (Book Two) CD, and kind of flowed your poem over the beat, it worked great. Keep up the good work.
