I like to think that the players and coaches are mature enough to not let this mess up the year. I’ve lived with a coach for 45 years and players have to realize that the coach is hired to WIN games. If he forgets to do a lot of praising during the game that is because he is using all his knowledge to work at putting players together to win. I believe that 95% of coaches forget to verbalize the great things they see the players do when the game is going on.
Perhaps the coaches and players can all learn from this and Kirilenko can learn more of what it means to be a great TEAM player, not always a STAR. I had a feeling at the end of last season we had too many players with the “star”thought in their heads and it hurt their playing. NEW YEAR! I look very forward to this season because the JAZZ is a great part of my life. I don’t get to go to many games but they look great on TV too. GO JAZZ with your great coaches.
Linda, I think it would just have been decent to let AK know he was on the team.
He looked pretty lonely out there for quite a while. He tried in his way to show he wanted to play, but got attacked by coach and owner. He had to leave and go to another country to be heard.
I think the fans know where AK’s heart is. The upper eschelon just wouldn’t allow him to show it.
