‘C & D’ (Melissa Majchrzak - NABE/Getty Images)
I am insistent effort. I work at home. I work at the office. I can take exams or the witness stand. I mend broken dreams with assiduousness. All you have to do is believe in me, let me solidify with your sweat; just gulp me… with a glass of discipline.
I know how to handle misfortune, how to take a bad loss. I can minimize referee injustice, lighten up the post-season’s absence, or pick the winner’s ring that fits your finger. What are you waiting for- have faith in my fundamental compassion.
You’re still a young player. It’s not too late to learn how to succeed. Who said, you can’t take it on the chin?
Let me have your vacancy. I’ll fill it with accomplishment. You’ll thank me for giving you a foundation to stand on.
Announce me to your soul. You cannot be fooled.
There are no obstacles anymore.
An interpretation of the poem entitled Advertisement by Wislawa Szymborska
