Reborn and Rebuffed

I am excited to say that I watched - well at least attempted to watch the Jazz/Laker game last night. When I returned home from picking up girls and dropping them off I actually came in the house to watch the end of a couple of my shows but my husband TiVoed the wrong one. No big deal though I wasn’t into TV tonight. I actually wasn’t in to much of anything except a nice big pillow to lay my head on and just relax. I was functioning on maybe three hours of sleep from the night before because my daughter that lives in California called at 1:30 a.m. crying that she was afraid because she could see flames from her house. Thankfully my daughter is safe and away from danger.

OK back to the game. When I turned the channel to the game it was half time and what a pleasure it was to see that we were ahead. Not only that but the announcers were actually stating that the Jazz looked better than LA thus far. How exciting LA wasn’t looking that great! Don’t get me wrong I don’t have anything against LA except they are always good. Good at everything. They have good shooters both long and short. They have good offense and defense. It just seems they have it all. Why?

It is my opinion that the Lakers have some work cut out for them this year. Ronnie Brewer was awesome. In all honesty I think every team needs to sit up and pay attention this year because the Jazz are acting as though they have something to show everyone. The Jazz are looking good not only their game but everything about them. It’s almost like they’ve been reborn and rebuffed. With everything settled and out in the open with the AK thing I think they’ve regrouped and decided to forget about the me,me,me’s and the I, I, I’s and have joined together as a TEAM with no I’s or me’s in it.
In all fairness though to LA I’m sure they are going through some difficult times with the fires so close to them and their homes and families so my prayers do in deed go out to them at this time. Unfortunately we won’t be able to see a re-cap on Thursday because of the fires but I look forward to the season to see who’s going to step up and get everyones attention.

My money’s on Utah (Sorry LA). Leaving you something to think about, don’t you think?
