I Can’t Stand it Any Longer!

Does it seem like this season will NEVER GET HERE???? Seriously, I thought the pre-season would settle me down for awhile but honestly, it wasn’t that exciting. But then, the season is just around the corner right??? I swear, it feels like pre-season ended six months ago!

This is worse than waiting for Christmas! At least you kind-of know what to expect at Christmas. Come on, we’ve all carefully peeeled wrapping paper to catch a glimpse of what the present under the tree could be. We’ve shaken boxes, bribed our siblings, listened in to those supposed ‘adult only’ conversations. . . even found the hiding spot..and by the time Christmas gets here, you sort of know what to expect.

But this Jazz season is an open ended question for me. I don’t know what to expect. I am afraid to hope for the sparks and fireworks that accompanied the end of last season. And yet, maybe, just possibly . . . NO I refuse to set myself up for a let down. It has been so long for us Jazz fans!

The only way to truly know is to get on with the season. Witness the drive, determination and teamwork at its’ best. Then the spirit of the season begins to flow . . . and then I will know. Oh sure, there will be hills and valleys, but I can feel it in the wind . . . once the season starts . . .then I will know or at least, sort-of know. And, well, that’s enough for me.

Till then, I’ll be counting the days . . . Megan
