No Peeking

With only one gift left to buy (yes my shopping will be done) for Christmas I am sooooo excited. My goal this year was to be finished shopping by Halloween and I almost made it. Christmas is fast approaching with only 52 days left and I am ready to begin decorating. I told my daughter I was going to sit up the tree this week but she told me I had to wait. I have to admit that Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love everything about Christmas, the smells, the music, the excitement, the giving and the love that is everywhere.

When I was younger I remember the gifts under the tree wrapped and we were threatened with our lives to stay away from them. So, when my parents would go out for the evening I would sneak into the family room and remove one of my presents and run to my room and carefully unwrap it to see what was inside. I would carefully rewrap it just as it was so that no one would know (until now) and replace it where it was. I would do this several times until I knew almost everything I was getting. Come to think about it I’ve actually done this after when I was much older too. I can’t stand the waiting I just have to know.

This brings me to Thursday’s game. It was like Christmas for me. The excitement of the season finally starting and getting a peek as to what we’re going to be getting. The Jazz started off with a BANG. Wow, although they didn’t pull it off I think they did an awesome job. My to B’s (Boozer and Brewer) played extremely well and I’m sure that is just the beginning. I think we are going to continue to see that sort of action from my B-boys and from the others as well. We all know what the ultimate gift could be and that would be the Championship but just like Christmas we have to wait until then. Just giving you something to think about don’t you think?
