Early MVP Winners

Now that the season has begun, I thought that we would take a little poll as to who the class felt would be the Most Valuable Player to the Jazz this season. Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams were the class favorites although Mehmet Okur, Paul Milsap, Ronnie Brewer and even Andrei Kirilenko received a few votes.

Following are some of the responses:

Deron Williams is the most valuable player because he passes a lot and he is fast! He soots layups and is great at shooting inside the key. - Sammy

Deron Williams because he is confident and cheers his team. He is an awesome point guard and without a good point guard, the team would not win as many games! - -Colton

I would think that Deron Williams is their best player because he can shoot, score three-pointers, shoot free throws well, he makes most of his two-pointers, and he keeps the team in the lead. - Nelson

Boozer gets my vote because he makes soo many shots and is a great power forward. - Cooper

Boozer would be the one that I would choose as the most valuable player on the Jazz team. He is a great power forward, and a really good shooter. I especially like it when he slam dunks the ball! Boozer can block other teams and he can steal the ball. He can do a little of everything that a player needs to do to be valuable to a team! - Josh

Once again I do not like the ____ All Star travesty. The players need to keep their minds on NOW not trying to be the single best so they will get chosen. I love your students comments but it did make the hair on back of neck stand up again when I thought of the All Stars. It is a TEAM sport!!!!!! Once again I love the kids comments and this tirade is not meant for you.
