FINAL SCORE — SUNS 103 JAZZ 98
Jazz have lost 5 in a row
Steve Nash is unreal. He controlled the game.
The Jazz played very well but had two really poor possessions late in the game and the part that was the disappointing part of this loss. Boozer was quick with a 20 footer on a one pass possession on the next possession D-Will dribbled off 20 seconds of the shot clock and then missed. Those are the guys you want shooting, but the method to get the shots seemed out of synch.
The Jazz missed 6 free throws in the 4th
Phoenix came in as the worst offensive rebounding team in the nba and tonight they had 15 offensive rebounds
Overall though the Jazz played with much better energy and defensive focus. They just made a few too many mistakes to win against a good team on the road.
5:58 4th Quarter — Suns 85 Jazz 79
Offense is playing well on both sides.
Jazz scored on the first 4 possessions and 5 of 6 without Williams on the floor.
Jazz missed a big opportunity with Nash on the floor — Phoenix was +1 when he was on the bench.
Since Booz and Williams came back in the Jazz are just 2 of their 6 possessions.
Starters on the floor to close.
No Gordan in the 2nd half.
Boozer had back to back very poor defensive possessions
End of 3rd Quarter — Suns 67 Jazz 65
Who would have thought this match-up would have two teams under 70 going into the 4th
Boozer is playing the game on the outside. He seems bothered by Marion’s speed and quick hands.
Suns didn’t score after Nash went out
Hart came in for Brewer and played the 1 with Deron at the 2.
Milsap has a double double.
Jazz offense isn’t scoring — only 20 points in the Q
5:58 3rd Quarter - Jazz 59 Suns 55
Jazz went on a 12-0 run
AK hit a three.
Jazz are playing much better defense guarding the rim
Raja Bell jacked up a few and missed them both.
Williams had a nice drive to the rack forcing Nash to play defense.
Marion doesn’t have the size to guard Boozer
Halftime — Suns 49 Jazz 45
This game is all about when Nash is on the floor or not.
When Nash is on the floor the Suns are +11, when he is on the bench they are -7
This is how it has been with the Suns all season.
Deron needs to stay out of foul trouble and make Nash play defense
Jazz shot just 1 free throw in the 2nd quarter. They need to go to the basket and not play Phoenix game.
2:46 2nd Quarter — Suns 45 Jazz 43
Jazz were +7 when Nash was on the bench — Suns only shot 20%
Nash enters the game and the whole game changes immediately
Boozer is hot but he has taken 13 shots and no free throws.
Williams needs to make Nash play defense
The Jazz are playing with very good defense.
Jazz are playing with strong effort tonight.
The Suns have way too many offensive rebounds in this game.
7:30 2nd Quarter - Jazz 30 Suns 28
Suns are no where near the same when Steve Nash is on the bench.
The Jazz may not have taken a good enough advantage of Nash on the bench.
Williams has been on the bench as well for the Jazz due to the fouls.
Milsap had back to back terrific offensive plays
End of the 1st Quarter — Suns 24 Jazz 22
Jazz have played very well defensively. The Suns are running but in the Jazz are not letting them run freely.
The Suns weren’t getting to the spots they wanted to on the floor.
Boozer played well on the offensive end.
Lots of open possessions for two pretty strong offensive teams.
Jazz had 7 turnovers in the Quarter
4:00 1st Quarter — Suns 22 Jazz 15
You forget how fast the Suns play until you see them
Jazz aren’t doing a great job on the defensive glass
Paul Milsap started for Okur who is out and has made a lot of mistakes
Deron is out with 2 fouls at the 4:28 mark
Jazz came out on the opening possessions running through their offense and then the game got faster.
Jazz are playing pretty well defensively. Phoenix is tough but the Jazz are battling.

It was a tough loss, but so was Dal and SA. The worst was of course POR and who knows maybe that one can be neutralized on Fri.
I know the guys were working hard for it, but still came up short, didn’t seem to be able to stop them, throw in missed foul shots and add a couple of very bad ref calls…. yeah it was a tough loss.
