They should have traded for Eddie House.

I think the jazz made a very bad mistake by trading gordon for kyle. It’s only a matter of time before coach sloan finds something that he doesn’t like about korver and then we are right back in the same situation. Coach Sloan can not be allowed to keep running off good players just because he may not like them.
I do however agree that Price is by far and away the secound best point guard on the team and has earned the right to be the first one off the bench to back up williams.

Korver is an outstanding 3-point shooter but whose minutes will he take? Or, who will lose minutes? CJ Miles? Matt Harpring?

It’s true that Price is by far more athletic then Hart, but until he can show that he can run the offense without all of the turnovers, he’s going to be staying on the bench!! His assist to turnover ratio is putrid!!! As far as the trade goes, I would rather see CJ Miles get the minutes then this Korver guy!! From what I’ve read from Philly fans he’s a statue on defense and that’s definately not what the Jazz need, yet another guy who is slow defending the dribble penetration!!!

It’s an ok trade I guess.
But Giricek could’ve stayed if he was better with Jerry Sloan.

Sloan should not be allowed to run off good players? He IS THE COACH and he isn’t able to do this all by himself. I’m not going to critisize until I am able to know all the things that happen behind the scenes. All you have to do to play Jazz ball is work your tail off, do what you are told, and don’t talk back. Isn’t that like most jobs? Playing in the NBA is a job.

I think the timing stinks, it looks lika Sloan threw a temper tantrum and siad “I don’t want to plat with Giricek any more so I will trade him” and I wouldn’t say that Korver is outstanding, but he’s pretty good and time will tell. as for Giricek I wish you well and we will miss you!!!!!

Regardless of how Philly fans feel about Korver’s defense, a team needs something to shake things up throughout a season. If you can’t get Sloan to see the hardwork fast pace play of a Ronnie Price off the bench that sparks a change of pace during a game, then you need something like a Korver trade to shake things up with players. So far I like Korver’s attitude and he was clearly shaken with the trade and maybe what he needs to be a better well rounded player. He showed a well rounded game the other night and will end up being a great fit. I promise we won’t miss Giricek and his attitude and we needed a shooter.

I find it amusing that so many people continue to cry about Sloan’s coaching methods. People say he runs good talent into the ground… well he should. The whole purpose of a coach is to make people better. Break them down and build them back up, and if they think they’re already good enough, then they’re not good enough to play here. Playing in Sloan’s system wasn’t a problem for Stockton, Malone or Hornacek. These young, selfish guys could take a page from those 3.
P.S. Does anyone else feel like the Korver trade is frighteningly reminiscent of the trade for Hornacek? It’s like adding the missing link all over again!

Wow. I thought that Giricek will might have a good game.
But I guess not.
Because it’s his home arena. But not no more.
But yeah. He still sucks. But he did suck when he was on
Utah Jazz team so I don’t blame him.
Kyle Korver always play the last minute of the game.
And then back up for Mehmet Okur if he misses the threepointers.
And thanks to his freethrows we won!
Kyle Korver=hero for game 76ers game.
Well everyone was. Anyone that plays.

Good trade!!!!!!!!! Did anyone notice the difference in play between Hart and Price. Price is by far the best backup guard on the team. He already beat Hart out to backup Bibby at Sacremento and now Sloan has Price behind Hart. It is rediculous how much of a better player Price is than Hart.
