FINAL SCORE — JAZZ 111 PACERS 89
Morris Almond got his first NBA field goal
No Jazz player played longer 26 minutes. Harpring played 18 minutes tonight
Very good outing by the Jazz bench — they took the game from a 10 point lead to a 50-22 advantage.
26 Pacers turnovers; the question is whether they were all sloppy or all forced – probably a combination.
The Jazz deserve credit for making the game tough for Pacers and the Pacers didn’t have the fight in them to combat that.
Jerry Sloan was pleased with the help defense by the Jazz tonight.
End of 3rd Quarter — Jazz 90 Pacers 66
Pacers started the quarter on a run and it looked like a game for a moment, but Jamaal Tinsley took care of that with a ton of ill advised shots and passes.
Pacers have committed 23 turnovers and the Jazz have 28 points off those turns
Korver is 0 for 3 from three
The Pacers bigs have been just dreadful. Murphy is 1 for 7, O’Neal is 3 for 8 and we haven’t seen Harrison since his 4 foul 1st quarter.
Halftime — Jazz 67 Pacers 50
The game got sloppy and the Pacers outscored the Jazz 28-17 over the final 8.
The game is totally different with O’Neal on the bench. The Jazz outscored the Pacers by 15 when he was on the bench.
Give credit to the Jazz bench.
The first 4 minutes of the second half are vital.
8:09 2nd Quarter — Jazz 50 Pacers 22
The run just became 23-5. This is absurd.
Kyle Korver had an open three and he paused and the crowd screamed “shooot” he passed and Jason Hart hit a 14 footer.
The Jazz bench entered at 27-17.
Has Jermaine O’Neal played — he has 0 points, 0 rebs in 6 mins and 2 fouls.
End of 1st Quarter — Jazz 40 Pacers 19
13-2 run to close the quarter
Nice work by the bench. Jarron Collins got in David Harrison’s head and Harrison got 4 fouls in the quarter.
The Jazz had great energy and took the game to the Pacers, who wilted pretty easily.
Indiana has lost 4 of 5 coming in tonight and seemed uninterested in breaking that streak.
Korver seems to understand more plays with a few days of practice
Jazz took 16 free throws in the first quarter
2:37 1st Quarter — Jazz 27 Pacers 17
the pacers may be the perfect opponent for the Jazz
The Pacers don’t have a lot of playmakers. They shot a ton of threes out of a quick offense and spread floor. They are not going to out execute your defense.
Booz has an early 10.
Jazz are playing well.
