Can you say “ROAD WIN”!!

I can hear angels singing in Utah today! A much needed Road Win for the Jazz. Who cares who we play to get it! The key to this game, in my humble opinion, was one simple word TEAM. They played as a team. One single cohesive unit trying to win games instead of trying to ‘not lose’. Hallelujah.

One of the many problems the Jazz have had this season is the fact that they struggle on the road. Historically, we have always been strong at home. But this years’ road record is dismal at best. I think it is due to the youngness of our team. They are still finding themselves. I think the Clippers game was a sign of what they are capable of . . . when all the planets align.

They were physical, they passed the ball, they controlled the pace of the game. If only we could play like this on the road more often. We just haven’t seemed to recover from our December road loss nightmare. We desperately need to be winning on the road and this was a great win for us. . . especially since our next away game is at Houston. Uuggh. But, if we could play like we played yesterday, we could put another “W” in the away column.

As the season has progressed, many have been quick to point out the deficiencies in the Jazz line up. But you know, when they compete, they do it well. If we can push through this hard time, I’m still optimistic for a playoff position. There’s more to a season than just winning and losing. You have got to learn from your mistakes, pick yourself up and play harder. I think they did that in L.A. I think they can do it again. Go Jazz Road Warriors
