What’s up? Not too much has changed since my last entry, but I’m going to check in regardless. This probably won’t be the most eventful blog, but check me out anyway.

Our team is 27-18 right now, and with 42 games under the belt, we are officially past the midway point of the season. I guess this is around the time when I should be looking out for hitting the “rookie wall.” Just between me and you though, I don’t think it’ll be too big of an issue.

The midway point of the season also marks another notable event that’s right around the corner: NBA All-Star Weekend. The other day, my team selected me to represent the Jazz at the annual Player’s Rep Meeting down in New Orleans, so I’ll be in attendance for the big weekend. Representatives from all the teams meet to discuss current events and other issues, as well as the status of the league. They also gave me tickets to the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday events, so I’ll definitely be looking forward to the All-Star break. Should have several of my teammates in attendance as well. Booze (Carlos) is a lock for the Sunday game, and Deron should be under strong consideration; Paul and Ronnie should both be strong candidates for the Sophomore team. Got a birthday coming up on February 2nd, in about a week or so. I don’t really have anything else to add to that, I just thought I’d share that with everyone. I usually celebrate for the entire month, so I’ll count all the festivities on Super Bowl Weekend and All-Star weekend as part of my birthday celebration.

I’ll keep this blog short, because the entries about the aforementioned events should be good ones. This one will serve as kind of the heads-up for the great month that February is shaping up to be. In a few days I’ll be a year older and another year wiser, so I thought I’d start incorporating a new wrinkle in my entries from now on. I’ll call it the “Quote of the Day.”

Quote of the Day:

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you do not have. Remember that what you have was once among the things you only hoped for.” – Author unknown
