The Kirilenko Lesson

‘Attitude=Altitude’ (Melissa Majchrzak - NBAE/getty Images)
There are many times during a school day that our attitude good or bad, comes into play. For instance our attitude toward the assignment helps us to do a great job or maybe not do it at all. Our attitude toward the others in the class makes us act or react to them. Even the attitude we have toward ourselves attributes to our success or failure.
This past month some of us in our class have been watching the games and realizing the difference in Andrei’s game. We have always liked him and thought that he was a great player to watch but wow, he seems to have just gotten better! Has he suddenly found his shot and his place on the team? We think that perhaps it has to do with the apparent change in his attitude.
We have noticed that Andrei seems to have more confidence in himself and a better attitude toward the others on his team. He even appears to be ok with the coaching staff. Have they all changed???? NO, we attribute his improvement to his change in attitude.
As fourth graders, we appreciate this example of Andrei Kirilenko and his attitude adjustment. He has demonstrated what a positive attitude and hard work can do!

My class has noticed the change, as well. It is an important lesson to learn in life. Not all children have the same advantages, talents and abilities as others. They don’t like to hear that message. They want to hear that life is fair, but it just isn’t. The great leveler is our attitude. I believe that someone can accomplish anything they really want to, if they have the right attitude and work hard. I agree, Jackie, that your class has learned a valuable lesson. Having the right kind of attitude is something that we choose.
Good job basketball team Utah Jazz!
Not only the kids but I think all of us. Have you noticed that most of the players are wearing smiles when on the bench? They all seem to care about what each team member does and they seem to really want to help each other. I have some personal thoughts (not really to share to media and others) on the turn around of the Jazz but what ever it was it is GREAT to see a team that has so many players with a good attitude. I give a lot of credit to the coaches because if you didn’t like the way your coaches were coaching it wouldn’t be smiles you would see. They still have a ways to go to get to where they need to be, but it is wonderful to see them heading in the right direction.
I have always enjoyed watdhing AK play and I am glad he has his second wind! He is such an awesome player and if he and the rest of the team play just like that, A TEAM!, I’ll be seeing you at the playoffs and the big win!!
I love to watch AK play. I feel that sloan used his style of destroying a player to get rid of him and AK was really crushed by what happened to him. He had to leave the country to voice his feelings. He is a very dedicated player and I wish I could say the same about sloan but I really can’t.
I love watching AK again now that he is back, he does amazing things while playing and is a great asset to the Jazz team.
Go Andrei K.
and I wish I could see sloan really go—————far away.
