FINAL SCORE — JAZZ 118 NUGGETS 115
WOW !!!!!! WHAT A WIN — #10 IS THE SWEETEST OF THE STREAK !!!!!!
That was a heart and soul win because the Jazz gave it all their heart and their soul.
Simply unreal.  Be FIRED UP !!!!!!
Iverson had a chance to win it for the Nugs at 116-115 but D-Will defended him tough and made him take a tough look that was no good.
Korver hit clutch free throws that gave the Jazz the lead 116-115 and then 118-115
16-2 since the Korver trade.
Matt Harpring made a huge field goal with the Jazz down 103-100.
Their were a ton of plays that had to be made to win this game.  The Nugs made shot after shot and the Jazz weathered each and every one of them.
Anthony fouled out early in the overtime.
Korver didn’t have a field goal after the 3rd quarter.
Boozer never became a factor but he made plays – grabbed a key offensive rebound, scored late in the 4th quarter.  It was his only field goal after the 9:00 mark of the third quarter.

End of 4th Quarter — Jazz 106 Nuggets 106
D-Will hits a three in to tie and Anthony misses the buzzer beater
Nuggets made huge plays late to take control of the game
Memo and Milsap have fouled out.
Jazz can’t get the high pick and roll going.
D-Will had 13 points in the 4th quarter.  He willed this team when it seemed they were dead to rights.
This game is unreal — it has been tied at 85, 89,91,94 and 96.
This is insanely physical.

End of 3rd Quarter — Jazz 78 Nuggets 72
This game became very physical.
Martin had a brutal flagarant foul on Brewer and when Harpring came in he retaliated with a tough elbow to the mid-section.  That set the tone and it hasn’t stopped.
The Jazz defensive rebounding was brutal.  The Nuggets got three straight possessions with follow dunks.
Iverson is taking over a little.
Boozer is a non-factor.  If the Jazz are going to win he has to get going.
Give Booz credit he had a great play where he got an offensive rebound and an assist.
The Nugs hit just 4 of 8 free throws down the stretch to end the quarter or this would be very close.
The Jazz are out of sorts and will have to get going or they are going to be in trouble.  All the mo is on Denver side.

Reaction to Comments
From Sinjlin —
Is it just me or does heart just look like he is to relaxed coming into the game. I know Jerry says he wont let a guy loose his job by being hurt, but how long is he going to let heart stay in before letting price come in. I also think DWill is going to only go out when Ai goes out, can you say 41 minutes for Dwill

Locke response — Hart played fine.  Jerry changed something in the rotation tonight since both D-Will and Boozer were on the bench at the same time.  Iverson never leaves the floor, he leads the league in minutes

From hansencheek
Thoughts on Hart’s return? Seems like with Millsap, Korver, and healthy Harpring that our bench will succeed no matter who is running the point.

Locke response — Hart played ok. Price was getting better each game.  The bench is unreal right now.

Halftime — Jazz 56 Nuggets 41
Jazz win 33-15 in the 2nd quarter.
The Nugs didn’t get a field goal or a point until the 8:37
That was as good a defensive quarter as I have seen this year from the Jazz.  They helped, they swiped and they forced the Nugs into bad shots.
The defense was so good at times you couldn’t tell if it was a man or
In the pre-game we mentioned the Nugs are the #14 offensive team in the NBA.  Truly they are average.   If the Jazz keep them in the half court they will take bad shots and the Jazz will be fine.
The difference offensively was the Jazz got secondary looks out of the second group.
Korver was unreal again.  He had 15 points in the Quarter.
Boozer was scoreless in the quarter and the Jazz still dominated.
After Deron came back in the game, the Jazz scored on 10 of 15 possessions.

End of 1st Quarter — Nuggets 26 Jazz 23
Jazz tighten down defensively in the zone but gave up way too many second chance points.
The Nuggets are not a good half court offensive team, they take awful shots.  They live off the offensive glass and easy fast break buckets – the key to the game will be avoiding that.
The Nugs got 5 second chance points in a sequence of 6 possessions.  The Jazz have to finish the play defensively,
The Jazz are struggling offensively when they don’t get their initial offensive option.
Jason Hart replaced Deron tongiht.

6:00 1st Quarter — Jazz 12 Nuggets 10
10-0 run by the Jazz – they went to zone and forced turnovers.
Boozer having a tough time getting good looks on Camby

8:00 1st Quarter — Nuggets 10 Jazz 2
bad start, poor defense, no control of tempo and turnovers.
AK has two turns.
8 of the 10 Nugs points have been easy.   You have to get them in the half court.

Keys to the Game
1.  Control the tempo, Denver is the highest pace team in the NBA
2.  Keep a slumping Anthony, Iverson and Camby in their slump
3.  No blanket for Linas

Officials
Luis Grillo, Pat Robinson, Joe Forte

Last time the Mailman and the greatest PG ever made this.. 10 games in a row.. for the Jazz!!! D-Will makes an interesting answer for the coaches that did not selected him to the all-star game!! But we got 6players on All-star Weekend!! Boozer on A-S game, Deron makes the skills challenge, Pal Millsap and Ronnie Brewer stars in Sophomore Team, and Morris ALmonds joins Kykrlo Fesenko in D-League All-Star game!! I proud 4 them all!!! Utah will be very fine this year, just like it has benn for such as 30 years!! LOVE JAZZ!!!!

Locke,

give up on the love for Jason Hart. It is almost Valentines day and this Hart needs to be sent to the bench. Price is significantly better and more active then Hart is. Plus from the interviews, it sounds like Hart wants to go back to Clip-ville.

This was one of the most intence games i have ever watched. i felt like we were in the play offs. This game was a learning game, it showed us who could be physical, it showed us who could step up and play good defence, who could hit the important shots, and a lot more. It showed me and hopefully you that boozer sucks!! It showed me that he cant hit important shots, he sucks at defence, and for gods sake he needs to learn to freaking BOX OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ever since boozer was chosen to go to the all star game, he thinks he doesnt need to play good anymore. i also showed me that harpring doesnt take anything, he can get in there and play rough if he needs to. Boozer, i think, is just a big softy. after brewer got knocked down, sloan kept all them in there so someone could back up hurt brewer and give some pay back. i thougt it would be boozer cause he is the big dude. but no, boozer kept playing crappy. then sloan brought in harpring and milsap and in not even a minute in the game, harpring has one of their play down and milsap dunks it in there freakin face!!!!! heck ya dude, if one of your teammates just got slamed on the ground, pay that guy back. dont show them your soft, show them not to mess with you guys. well anyways, the jazz are the bom. GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets carry on the the winning streak boys.

PS sorry if i spelled a few words wrong, you know what i mean.
