Why not? Our beloved, future-hall-of-fame, no b.s. head coach as President of the United States of America. If that doesn’t quite sound right, how about if we change the title to “Head Coach of the United States of America”? I think it’s a brilliant idea. So, brilliant, in fact, that instead of Mickey Mouse, this election I’m going to pencil in Jerry Sloan as my candidate for Head Coach, er, President. And you should too.

Republican? Democrat? Whig? Who cares?! He’s just here to coach. Is your senator not living up to expectations? Coach Sloan will simply bench him and sub-in another player, er, senator. Or how about foreign relations? Foreigners love Coach Sloan! Just look at the Jazz roster and admire the number of foreign players that blossom under his leadership, both past and present.

Nervous about the economy? Don’t worry, we’ll just work through it! Sick of pork-barrel spending? Sloan brings his own lunch, is allergic to flash and abhors self-promotion!

Maybe your still not sold. Maybe you think someone else is better suited to lead, motivate and guide a group of diverse peoples through thick and thin; well that’s what Jerry already does!
