Best And Worst Of All-Star Weekend

‘Retina Abuse’ (Joe Murphy - NBAE/Getty Images)
The good, the bad and the ugly of the All-Star Weekend that was.
Worst:
5- Yao Ming jacking up 3’s. Yao instead of trying to impress us with your range, why don’t you try and respond to the beat down Dwight Howard was giving you?
4- Boozer being the last man off the West bench. Anyone else convinced Coach Scott was trying to punish Boozer for the abuse he gave his Hornets during the two games this year?
3- Craig Sager’s suit. I understand his it’s his calling card, but come on TNT why do you subject my retinas to such abuse?
2- NBA All-Star uniforms. Speaking of permanently throwing my rods and cones out of whack, those uniforms were awful. Half the time you couldn’t tell which players were on which team. If I was on the Eastern Conference squad, I would have worn my jersey backwards to really throw the West for a loop.
1- Kobe Bryant’s appearance. I have to admit, I was really disappointed with the way the NBA handled this situation. Obviously I would have liked to have seen Deron taking Kobe’s spot, but it was much more than that. Kobe didn’t want to play, he wasn’t healthy and didn’t even take a shot. How in the world does that improve the quality of the game?
Best:
5- Rasheed Wallace shooting left-handed 3’s. As Charles Barkley said, “This guy has scary talent.” Time for Rasheed to work with Yao to expand his range.
4- Karl “The Mailman” Malone’s cameo Saturday night on the TNT set. Not often that you see Barkley speechless. Malone looks like he could still produce more than half the big guys in the league.
3- DWill dominating CP3 in the Playstation Skills Challenge. One more head-to-head match-up between the two and one more victory for Deron. Two more regular season match-ups to come and hopefully we get to see some playoff action as well. Click here to see video of the competition as well as Deron’s interview afterwards.
2- Steve Nash blowing his nose on Craig Sager’s handkerchief while talking about his new shoes made from trash. You couldn’t make this kind of stuff up even if you wanted to. Nash letting the public see his personality is the reason he has 2 MVP trophies and John Stockton has 0.
1-Dwight Howard’s dunk. Not the Superman over-hand power lay-up, but this one or this one.

2- NBA All-Star uniforms.
Almost enough to make you hurl! Even in HD you could not tell who was who, I can’t imagine what a normal tv was displaying.
Maybe some nice pastels for next year?
Stern was wrong to make Kobe play. They should of just removed him from the list of All-stars (completely) and named Deron in his place.
Thanks for they eye “holla”’s. Us eye nerds love it.
