FINAL SCORE — JAZZ 119 WARRIORS 109
Deron had another enormous night 29 points and 12 assists.
The Jazz showed great maturity in their approach against the Warriors
The bench forwards added a huge boost in a 41 point 2nd quarter (franchise record)
This game wasn’t as close as the score.   Jazz were in control by halftime.
Jazz sweep the season series.
Once again it was bench play that separated the game.
6 players were in double figures.
AK was 7 of 8 and had 18 points.
13th straight home win for the Jazz.
Overall Jazz have won 18 of 21 overall.
Don Nelson after the game, when asked why the Jazz have their number, “how about they are better than we are.”

End of 3rd Quarter — Jazz 102 Warriors 85
Jazz got their 100th point at the 3:21 mark of the 3rd quarter.
I ranked Deron Williams #12 in the NBA in my top 100 list and watching him tonight I am wondering how high he is going to go.   Is this guy going to be the MVP of the NBA one year.
Jazz lead by 22
Memo made an insane athletic play on a fast break he caught a pass at his ankles collected himself and hit a reverse lay-up.  That is amazing for a guy that is 6′11
The game slowed down a little.
Webber hit a bunch of shots for the Warriors.
Baron Davis is a free agent at the end of the year, why wouldn’t the Warriors trade him before the deadline and turn it over to Monte

Halftime — Jazz 77 Warriors 64
Holy Smokes.
Hard to explain what is happening in this game but I think the score does tell the story
Jazz went on a 12-0 run from the 1st to the 2nd behind two three’s from Korver
Jazz closed on a 10-0 run sparked by Deron and Korver taking two charges.
The ability of this team to hit the three and match the Warriors is a really big deal.
This is fun basketball, not sure the purist would think much of it, but it is fun.  The Warriors are so offensive centric
In the last six quarters of the Jazz v. Warriors the Jazz have shot 81 of 125 65% from the field, and 16 of 24.
Deron has 17 points on 6 shot attempts and 7 assists.
Baron has 17 points on 13 shot attempts.

End of 1st Quarter — Jazz 36 Warriors 36
Defense is optional tonight
Jazz were very sloppy with the basketball.  The Warriors don’t pressure the ball and it looked like the Jazz got carried away trying to make every pass regardless of its likelihood in making the completion.
Jazz 24 points in the paint.
Warriors went zone and it had the Jazz a bit off.
Game has been filled with mini runs.
Monta Ellis is really tough.
Deron was fantastic.

Keys to the Game
1. Pace of play at Jazz style
2. Keep Warriors off the line and outside the arch
3. Keep Monta Ellis under control

STARTING LINE-UPS
Warriors:  Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Chris Webber, Al Harrington
Jazz:  Deron, Ronnie, AK, Booz, and Memo

Officials:  Dan Crawford, James Capers, Eric Lewis

IMPORTANT NUMBERS FOR JAZZ V. WARRIORS
Jazz have the #4 offense in the NBA going against the Warriors #23 ranked defense
The Warriors have the #2 ranked offense against the Jazz #12 ranked defense.

Jazz are the 8th offensive ranked offensive rebounding team against the 29th ranked defensive rebounding team, but what do you do about the transition game of the Warriors.

Monta Ellis is averaging 26 points and shooting 64% over the last 10 games
He has started 28 games this year and is averaging 22 points, shooting 58% and grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing 3 assists.

Fun game to watch. I thought for sure the Jazz would be close to the record for points in the first half of a game. Turns out, not so much. The record is 107 points for Phoenix vs. Denver in 1990. That is a ridiculous!

Come on Tittle, what was the final?

Oh and yes I did think that 77 points in a half had to be pretty big.

Jazz record?

It was a fine game to watch, the Jazz did what they needed to do to insure victory without having to clean up any blood in the process. Got to mess with them a bit, which ticked off Sloan, but in the end no harm no foul and we still get the W!
