FINAL SCORE –  Wolves 111 Jazz 100
Jon said  it best in the comment zone “Jazz are really going to spoil their good season if they keep playing like this on the road. Just lousy games over and over.”
This was terrible.
Lots of Jazz players were awful but I have to give Memo the credit for the worst night of the year and complete and utter lack of effort on the boards.
The Jazz played LA Clips, Atlanta and Minnesota and are 1-2.  That is not acceptable when the playoffs are on the line.
Jazz committed a season high turnovers in this game.
Minnesota is awful but they are an NBA team so they can make a play or two if you give them a chance and that is what happened tonight.
Tyrone Corbin was on Locked on Sports and talked about how hopefully one day one of the guys will come forward as a leader.  It is clear this team is lacking the leadership it needs on the road and overall.
The Jazz hit one field goal in the first 7:30 minutes of the 4th quarter.  They never ran their sets.
This was a disaster.

5:58 left in the 4th Quarter — Wolves 88 Jazz 80
This is dreadful
The bench gave the Jazz nothing and the Wolves went on a 10-0 run
Memo has been irrelevant on the boards.
Jazz have 9 second chance points to the Wolves 20
Jazz have committed 22 turnovers to the Wolves 9
A complete lack of focus
The Jazz defended on one possession at the 7:05 mark.  It was noticeably different

End of 3rd Quarter — Jazz 72 Wolves 72
The good news is the Jazz have started to run their offense and when they do they score almost everytime.  Turnovers are still an issue
The bad news is the Jazz are not imposing their will on this game.  The Wolves are getting a ton of offensive rebounds.  The Wolves are pushing the Jazz around.
The Jazz are fortunate that the Wolves are a terrible offensive team.  They are getting open look after open look but none of their players are good enough to knock them down.

Hafltime — Wolves 52 Jazz 47
This is really poor.  The Jazz are playing at half speed.  The cuts are slow, the passes are lazy and fast breaks are at half speed.
The Jazz have 14 turnovers and they are shockingly bad.
The Jazz body langugue is really poor,  the hands are down, the feet are on the floor.
Boozer is scoring but the defense is non-existent.
More importantly the Jazz aren’t dictating the tempo of this game at all.
Can’t imagine what Sloan said at halftime

End of 1st Quarter — Jazz 27 Wolves 25
Jazz shot 69% but they are trying to outscore the Wolves
The Jazz are letting a terrible offensive team go where they want to
the post defense has been laughable it has been so bad
Boozer has 15 points.
The Jazz will score all night but they will need to play a few moments of defense
Jazz are sloppy — 9 turnovers — lazy lazy passes

Key Numbers for the Jazz v. Wolves
Jazz have the 3rd ranked offense against the Wolves 27th ranked defense.
The Wolves have the 29th ranked offensively and the Jazz are the 12th best defense.

I’ve been posting a lot of replies lately to these topics and I can actually relate to the Jazz players because I’ve played professional sports so I understand their dilemma. The problem is that we know that we are a good enough team to get to the playoffs. We really can’t be beat at home, but we’ve somehow decided that winning at home is good enough. The problem is that when we get into the playoffs we’re not going to have home court advantage and therefore we’re going to be eliminated as usual.
It gets really easy as a player on a descent team to get into that mode of scoreboard watching and its like, hmm well we’re still in line to make the playoffs and thats all we really want to do anyway so we’ll make sure we win at home and then on the road just mail it in. I’m not saying everyone on the team is doing this, C Bizkit is still playing well, he’s doing more than he should have to do, D Will is our leader, he controls our game, he’s our best player and tries to get everyone else on the team involved, but when we’ve got guys not trying as hard as they should we look bad as a team and it makes him look bad as our best player.
We’re not bad when we go into panic mode in the 4th quarter when we realize we’re being embarrassed by the worst team in the league, but up until that point we’ve got guys stealing paychecks.
I honestly feel bad for the Jazz. I feel bad for them because they don’t believe they deserve to be a championship team. I shows by the way they play on the road. I feel bad for D Will because he could be an MVP, but won’t because his own team doesn’t respect him enough to play hard for him. He’s not Michael Jordan, he’s not Kobe or LeBron, nobody’s giving him $100 million to advertise Sprite or Nike and for that reason its hard for teammates to show up and say we need to play hard for this guy because he’s going to lead us to glory. D Will has played hard every game, so has C Bizkit. Harpring plays his butt off when he gets in and sometimes tries to do too much, but we’ve honestly got a lot of guys on this team eating up the majority of the minutes that don’t believe. Is it because they play in Utah? Are they buying into the stereotype that Utah is good, just not great? I think so, I think so because it shows in how we play on the road. Losing to the Clippers and the TWolves? Come on guys, you’ve got to know you’re better than that. I think maybe D Will should take a more active role in our scoring instead of trying to babysit some of the guys who don’t want to win. Just take over the game, he can do it I’ve seen it. I don’t see any reason he shouldn’t be taking around 20 shots a game. Can you name anyone else on our team you’d rather see take a shot?
There’s a ton more I want to say, but I’ll leave it for another day.

I just erased a whole post because I tried to be easy on our boys but I just can’t do it. Are you kidding me with what happened tonight. Getting embarrassed by arguably the worst team in the league. I think D-Will out played his man. Carlos(C-Bizkit) Boozer out played his man despite having 6 turnovers. Kirilenko had a brutal night. Then there is Okur. I agree Okur was awful, AGAIN. He is 7 feet tall and has no post up moves. Mark McKown(assistant coach of player development) needs to help him out ALOT down there. Does he realize that he would average more points and get more rebounds? Than last but certainly not least broke shot Brewer! I do like his offensive game tonight. He only took 4 shots so I can live with that but look at what he did defensively. He has alot to do with giving up 42 points. Let me play against him if it is that easy. These road whoa’s continue to happen. How are we going to make a title run if we don’t have any players that man up when they have there back against the wall. Are these players satisfied with just being a good team and not a great one. Do you think Michael Jordan got scared on the road? The answer is no. Athletes shouldn’t care when or where they play. These men need to give themselves a gut check, look deep, and find that competetive fire. They look just look dead on the road. Sloanie looks like he gives up on the road. My advice for him is to get in someones #$$! They are grown men but they are playing for a championship. If I was Harpring(veteran of the team) I would be getting all over the guys. We are getting embarrassed. Something needs to change. We have a extremly tough schedule coming up and we are either going to be embarrassed or figure out that we have a bunch of tough men playing for pride and not the pay check. C-Bizkit5 out!

Why it’s so cold in MN balls freeze in mid air inside!

Why it’s so cold in MN tennis shoes stick to the floor!

Why it’s so cold in MN you can’t hold on to the ball!

Why it’s so cold in MN your blood freezes you up, inside!

That was one cold performance, seems like they sent the JazzBoyzz instead of the JazzMen, again.

It’s gotta be some sorta duplicate universe.

In one the JazzMen reside and kick it good.

The other is where the jazzboyzz reside.

Could the cause of constant errors be Airport security?

***************

Whatever it is, if you can’t take the easy teams on the road your playoff run will be very short!

Gotta not be a good feeling when you fail at basics just ya got a plane ride don’t it?
