Fourth Grade Field Trip
Today was the day that many of my fourth grade students were looking forward to! The day of our field trip to Energy Solutions Arena!! We have been thinking of questions and subjects that we would like to know about the Energy Solutions Arena.
To those of you that have never been in the position of taking students on a field trip, let me paint a mental picture of the experience. It is like drinking 4 energy drinks and then being told to sit still. First you must organize 25 9 and 10 year olds that are excited to be on a “road trip”. Next you must explain to any parents your expectation of the behavior of those 9 and 10 year olds without offending anybody that has so graciously given of their time to be with you. Last you get to smile as you load them on a school bus and bounce all the way to town. This is only the beginning!
Now that we are at the Energy Solutions Arena, keeping everyone in a group, listening and using their best manners is the challenge of the moment. I was Lucky enough to have some of the best behaved students with me on this adventure!
We learned things about the arena that we had no idea about! The next few weeks we will share our opinions and thoughts about this experience!
Thanks to a very community, and fan based organization that gave us the opportunity to visit and now share it with you!
