Well, you know, it was a hard foul, but I am sure he didn’t mean to do it that hard. I guess if you look at it at Dirk’s point he was just trying to go for the ball. But he didn’t need to pull A.K. down like that.
Let’s just keep our heads in the game and hope that he is better and that we kick some butt in the playoffs!!!! Don’t wast your time with other teams. Worry about ours and cheer OUR TEAM ON!!!!

I too think that he meant to foul AK but didn’t actually mean to hurt him that much. I did hear someone make an interesting statement on how to decide how long a player is suspended for making such an injury foul. They said that perhaps the player making the foul should be held out as long as it takes the player to heal and get back to playing. It does sound good only there would be a lot of things to work out (such as a player who doesn’t heal the whole season). A whole season seems a little long as a punishment?? Anyway, I agree that we stop worrying about it and concentrate on the next game. Just super glad that AK was not hurt worse.

Dirt should have been ejected for such a flagrant!
In fact any time a player is forced for health reasons to deapart a game, the offender that caused such, should be ejected, fined HEAVILY, and suspended.
There are indeed hard fouls, but what dirt did was way beyond hard! The media or other players would not say it, but what he did was way beyond a hard foul, it was an intentional act to remove an opponent from the game. By causing injury!
I did notice that the Mavs kept his butt on the bench for a very long time, such was probably very smart for both the Jazz and the Mavs. Allow the game to run for a time.
What is actually thoughtful is that Dirt may indeed get the payback by somebody that don’t give a crap from another team!
The Jazz will play you hard, every game, (well we hope so), But do not exhibit the “disable” mentality toward a player that is handling you.
Tonight was almost proof no matter how hard the 8 man team worked, not even the benches bench could alter the outcome!
This is not HS or even college, every player here is making a living doing this. Some nights you get the better, some nights it aint gonna play out that way. Worst outcome, embarrassment, Best outcome, you rally and actually win the contest of tonight.
Dey there; Contest of tonight.
Dirt now needs to be looking at EVERYBODY else in the league hoping for a valid chance at his career, Game, or ending such.
Having a killer instinct is one thing, being a career killer is quite another, and the players will not endorse players like DIRT!
But for now it will take the league to judge Dirts actions. Though I will accept their findings, Dirt is the one bearing the burden and will be forever looking over his shoulder.
Amazing how true it is that, goodwill is gained by a thousand acts of selflessness and lost by a single act. Dirt, you just won one such award!
Paybacks can be challenging Dirt!
