FINAL SCORE — NETS 117 JAZZ 115
Road trip ends at 2-2
AK had two really poor plays that turned the game. First with the Jazz leading 115-113 AK took a 3 with time on the shot clock and missed, he hit one recently in the same situation, but it didn’t feel like the right shot on a night where Boozer had been unreal. Then the Nets isolated Jefferson at the top of the key with the game tied 115-115 for the final possessions. AK inexplicably went for a reach steal and Jefferson blew by him for a the game winner.
Korver also missed two three’s on the final two possession. One was deep from the top of the key the other was a great look from the left side and it barely rimmed out.
Jefferson scored the Nets final 9 points
Boozer was amazing in this game — He had 41 points. He carried the team. He tried to will the team to a win and it is really too bad that the team didn’t get when he puts up 41 points.
5:46 4th Quarter — Jazz 100 Nets 100
Nachbar hits two big threes to bring the Nets back
The Nets are playing very fast and pushing it on the Jazz
Not sure how much is left in the Jazz tank.
Can’t imagine Deron Williams has the ability to do what he did last night and Milwaukee again.
Shots are still hitting front rim.
End of 3rd quarter — Jazz 86 Nets 81
Up and down quarter for the Jazz but it ends virtually how it started.
Nets took the lead in the quarter and the Jazz then burst back into control
Boozer has busted out and has 26
Vince Carter is 4 for 16
Halftime — Jazz 57 Nets 50
Jazz found some energy and took control of the game
It never really felt like the Jazz were playing that much better than New Jersey but they got the lead and you have the feeling that could be really disheartening to the Nets
The Jazz deserve a lot of credit for re-gaining control of this game.
Jazz are 13-5 in games they lead at the half on the road
The opening moments of the second half will be vital to prevent New Jersey from getting life
End of First Quarter — Nets 32 Jazz 29
I think you have to be pretty pleased.
Jerry went deep into the bench to get energy and the Jazz stayed in the game
The Starters had all the signs of a really tired team, all the shots off the front rim, getting out run in transition and not getting defensive rebounds.
Brewer had a huge steal and dunk late in the quarter
Milsap was very good.
6:48 1st Quarter — Nets 15 Jazz 9
I don’t like this match-up at all. The Jazz struggle with teams that bring the dribble game from the perimeter and that is what New Jersey does.
Add in it is the 4th game in 5 nights and it is more worrisome.
Add in that the Jazz won last night in Boston and I find it hard to believe the Jazz win this.
The early going backs that up the Jazz look dead. Boozer doesn’t look like he can get off the floor.
The transition defense has only been average
AK has 2 fouls already. Brewer looks dead.
The Jazz are already in the bonus so New Jersey will go to the line on everyfoul. That is bad.
Key Numbers Jazz v. Nets
Jazz are the #2 offensive team against the Nets who are the #20 defensive team
The Nets are the #26 offensive team in the NBA and Jazz are the #12 defensive team.
New Jersey is a bad shooting team you must keep them off the line.

I agree with Mandee, where was AK????
Isn’t he one of our top money men?

I disagree with both blogs. With that much time left, why not try to get it inside and if that wasn’t going to go then go out to either of the two for the 3 point shot. I think when we try the 3 in a situation like that we cause coach to dislike the shot even more than he used to.

well, we all know what should have been done, or tried, let’s hope we can take the rest of the game’s. It is really hard to make the judgement, you said the coach hates the three’s more, ten to one, it was set up that way

ok i wasnt taling about when we had the ball, i meant on the defensive end, i totally agree about trying to tie the game, but AK should’ve played better d… and also, if we didnt make the first shot we got up, like catch and shoot kinda thing, then whoever was near the basket could’ve tipped it in… but oh well we lost so i guess it doesnt matter anyways

sorry to say, if they had passed it to Kover, we had a better chance.
