Do You Belieeeeve?

The Jazz continues to roll.
Memo, like Moses of old, is leading the Jazz to the Promised Land. With DWill and Booze having less than stellar games, there was Money to be counted. Memo had his squeegee and Windex out, keeping the glass sparkling clean. Memo led all scorers and rebounders, putting in yet another nice night’s work. In 2008, Memo has been ‘Money’, just like his All-Star, 1st half of last year. If he’s only good for a half a year, I prefer the last half and hopefully the playoffs.
Will he yet part the Red Sea and lead the Jazz to the Championship or, at least, deep in the playoffs? Was Moses almost 7 feet tall, and did he sport a goatee? Naaaa, I’ve seen his picture, and he looked just like Chuck Heston with a beard.
As I recall, Memo did say something like, “it’s going to be hard on those other teams TOO”, when asked about how tough the last 6 games would be. Who could have imagined how tough it could be?
The turnovers were horrrrrible, as Bill Walton says, but the defense was superb. For the 2nd straight game, against the Conference leader and the Defending Champion, the Jazz dominated the defensive end. Granted, both teams had off shooting nights, but give the Jazz defense some of the credit for that.
Ronnie Price just keeps getting better, especially against quick guards. With his +15 points, while he was on the floor, perhaps he’s earned some additional minutes.
AK had a brilliant 1st quarter. He seems to be playing with more enthusiasm now. Hopefully, no ‘early vacation’ this year.
CP3, who barely exceeded his nickname, with only 4 points, and DWill, were locked in a game of ‘horse’, to see who could miss the most shots. It ended in a 2 out of 11 tie. You probably won’t see that ever again.
How many of the next four teams, on Murder’s Row, will end up getting stuffed into the Jazz shredding machine? Kinda’ reminds you of that scene in the black comedy Fargo, where Grimsrud, one of the two kidnappers, hired by William H Macy, is shoving the last of Carl, the other kidnapper, into the wood chipper, when Frances McDormand catches him. Ouuuu, this could get messy!
I keep expecting the worst and end up getting pleasant surprises.

It was sooooooo exciting to watch the defense. I heard that many left or changed channels when the score opened up but I was still jumping up and down in front of the TV right up to the very end I was very proud of the team but in some ways I wanted to shake each one and ask why they couldn’t do that in prior games?? This has been the most up & down, good & bad, excellent & horrible team that I have watched in a long long time. When they play well and share the ball, it makes it pretty hard to get the right answers on the Fantasy Questions! I am excited that I get to attend the last home game and have stuck away enough “mad money” to get to a couple playoff games!!!!!!!! Now if I could just figure out a way to get to talk to one of the players, the season would be complete.
