FINAL SCORE — JAZZ 124 Nuggets 97
Ends the Nugs 20 game streak of 100 points or more
Jazz had 37 assists and the Nugs had 36 field goals.
Korver had 3 blocks and that is the most striking number on the stat sheet
Memo did it again — 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Jazz shot 58%.
Very good defensive second half by the Jazz they held the Nugs to 39% shooting.
The defensive rating for the second half was 85 in contrast to 116 in the first half.
the offensive rating tonight was 130 and that is sick. The league average is 108 and the Jazz have been over 125 for the last 15 games.
Since Feb 1st Memo is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds prior to Feb 1 he was 12 points and 5 rebounds.
2:42 4th Quarter — Jazz 114 Nuggets 91
Nice work by the Jazz.
The Nugs are everything that is wrong about NBA players and the Jazz are what is right. Talent and skill is one thing but building a team, playing within a system, using teammates to make you better
End of 3rd Quarter — Jazz 90 Nuggets 79
Deron Williams got taken down going to the basket by Carmelo and hit the ground hard and was down for an extended time. He returned briefly before he got his 4th foul. He was visiably hurt but battled through it.
When the Jazz executed their offense they got great looks underneath.
Jazz are shooting 56%. Brewer has 20 on 8 of 12 shooting.
Game was close for most of the quarter but Jazz stayed in their game plan and took over as the quarter progressed.
The Nugs are amazing to watch, guys are obviously freezing out other guys, most of them never pass to the other. If Anthony gets it no one is touching it again.
Anthony is now -17.
Crowd is booing Carmelo everytime he gets the ball.
Halftime — Jazz 62 Nuggets 59
This game has gone as anticipated. The Nugs made a solid run to open the quarter and got it tied at 42-42.
The Nugs are a far better team when Anthony is off the floor and it not only shows statistically but makes sense when you watch them play. Tonight in 18 minutes on the floor the Nugs have been outscored by 14 points
Deron Williams has 3 fouls
jazz had a poor offensive second quarter, too be expected after the first quarter
Jazz have just one offensive rebound in the game.
End of 1st Quarter - Jazz 40 Nuggets 25
Jazz were out and running early. A game of runs that went Jazz, Nugs, Jazz. I would anticipate the next one is from the Nugs and this game gets close again.
Jazz got out running early and played with super energy.
Deron Williams went out at the 5:00 mark with two fouls and Ronnie Price had 2 fouls as well brining Jason Hart into the game.
Ronnie Brewer was terrific, the Nugs went below on a pick and roll and he the jumper, then he hit a big three, plus he had a great assist. He played really well.
Iverson had 14 and Anthony had 10
Jazz went 15 of 20 from the field and 8 of 11 free throws — they were scoring at the pace of 155 per 100 possession — that wont last.
