In his third year in the Association, Deron Williams is poised to join an exclusive club. More exclusive than the All-Star team. Williams will become only the third player in NBA history to score at least 1500 points, dish out 800 or more assists, and shoot over 50% from the field. The only other two players to accomplish this are Kevin Johnson and Magic Johnson, who did it twice. Not bad company.
The only thing that can stop Deron now would be a legendarily bad shooting night. He would have to miss 18 more shots than he makes. That’s not going to happen. Perhaps the most noticable change in Williams game from college to the pros is his overall ability to knock down shots. Compare this year to his final season at Illinois.

Good Stats from Deron.Congratulations.But M.Johnson and K.Johnson had nearly 1000 assists according to those stats.
Actually they are the players who scored more than 1.500 and had assists more than 900.
