The question was posed to a few of the boys that REALLY follow the Jazz, Who would you like to see the Jazz play in the first round of the playoffs and why?  Here are four of their responses:

Mason: I think they should play the Suns.   The Suns have  a lot of point makers that want the glory of being the star of the game or series.  With this type of mentality, they won’t pass to other players who could make high percentage shots for the sake of their own glory.  For instance, Shaq, Stoudamire, Bell, and Hill are all more interested in their own line score than the team’s ability to win!   I think the Jazz would need to be mst concerned about Steve Nash.

Ryan: The SanAntonio Spurs are the team I would like to see the Jazz go up against in the First Round.  The main reason I have for wanting the Spurs is so that I can personally watch the Jazz play the Spurs.  If they play them in the opening round then I would be able to watch them!

Matt: My choice for the first round would be the Houston Rockets.  I think this would be a great match up for the Jazz because Yao is out and I think McGrady isn’t much of a team player.  I think that the Jazz could win against them.  The Rockets don’t seem to have very go offense and seem to run the shot clock down too far to make a good high percentage basket.

Colton: If it were possible, I would like to see the Jazz play the Boston Celtics.  Even though they are first in the East, Most any of the West could beat them.  The East just seems to be a weaker Conference.

 As you can see we are all rooting for the Jazz no matter who they end up playing!
