Best Jazz Playoff Moment

Williams had his way with most NBA point guards this season. Dominating several and getting the best of just about all the rest. At times he was brilliant. However one seemed to get the best of Williams. The one that gave Deron Williams the most trouble was none other than former Jazz teammate – Derek Fisher.
Fish seemed to have D-Wills number. Maybe it was the fact that Fisher helped tutor Williams. Maybe it was the fact that Fisher has a copy of the Jazz play book in his head – and Williams knows it. Maybe it was little brother syndrome. Whatever it was – it was. It is no more.
The most important moment of the playoffs came during the fourth quarter of the second game of the Laker series. The Jazz lost the game while Williams scored a bunch of points in garbage time. The points might not have gotten the Jazz over the hump against the Lakers – but Williams got over the hump against Fisher.
From that moment on Williams had a different mindset when facing Fisher. He shot over him – Drove by him – guarded him closer – and routinely got him in foul trouble. When Fisher blocked Williams shot to seemingly steal a Jazz victory and send the game into overtime. Williams regained composure and controlled overtime while fisher watched from the bench after fouling out.
Next year, Williams 4th in the NBA should be a good one for the point guard. He is the leader of the team. He can now get by every other point guard. Every block is now out of his head. If the Jazz take on his attitude next year – they to should be able to get by anyone.

If the Jazz were in attack mode all the time, and were more consistent in their playing style, they would be unstoppable. Deron Williams needs to tell the rest of his team that, and then they will earn the right to be World Champions, and he will earn the right to be MVP. It will happen next year.
