Korver Surgery A Success
Korver will be re-examined in two weeks and is expected to start working out in a pool in three weeks.
Nothing has been said yet but I would guess this means Korver is off the “Basketball Without Borders” tour.

Remind me again what “Basketball without Boarder” is and how important was it that Korver be there? Anyone know exactly what the surgery was?
Linda I checked the Jazz website and found this answer about basketball without borders: NBA/FIBA Players and Coaches to Lead Basketball Camps on Three Continents with a Focus on Education, Health and Wellness for Young Athletes from Over 70 Countries and Territories Worldwide.
As far as how important it is for Korver to be there don’t know.
He had a bone spur on his left foot.
I hope this helps out.
Sheri….Thanks for the info. If things go well I would think Korver would be able to go along to teach as long as he didn’t work on the foot. The way he is so “giving” with everything he has, I would think this would be something he would really want to do. Wouldn’t it be nice if all the players who make so much money would be so “giving” as Kevin is? He has been raised to be so grateful for all the sucess he has that he gives back 1/3 of it to those less fortunate. Thanks again Sheri.
There was an article in the trib a couple days ago about Kyle’s trip to India, and it sounds like he did participate in the basketball without borders… and played with some young kids too. So, the foot must be doing well, or I’m sure he wouldn’t be playing on it. Sounded like he went out a week early to volunteer, etc. I’m sure most read the article, but here is a link (if it works!):
