NBA Draft Scouting Report – Nicolas Batum

The Utah Jazz have given me access to videos of some of the players that will be available in the proximity of the Jazz pick . Between now and the draft I will do scouting reports on these players. I chose the players I wanted to scout there was no direction from the Jazz. This report is based solely on my eyes and has not been approved or edited by Jazz personnel.
Player: Nicolas Batum
Height: 6’8
Weight: 214 pounds
Age: 19 years old
College: Euro League
Position: Small Forward/Shooting Guard
Projection (Star; Starter; Rotation; Bench; Fringe) – Rotation until he gets a better jumper
Most Similar Player: Mickael Gelabale (Sonics) high end projection – Older Grant Hill or Tayshaun Prince
Games Reviewed: Hyerer-Toulon v.
Dominant Hand: Right handed

Heard you on the radio the other evening with Elise. You were great per usual. While I enjoyed Ian when visiting my family in Portland and like him here too, there is still a void with no David Locke around.
BTW, you have shown great class and restraint in holding back comments on the Bennett team. After the Sonics stay and the Grizzlies move to OKC(ahem), it would give us all great pleasure(maybe you too), if you sliced and diced him and let it rip!:) Best wishes to you in SLC. If you ever ended up back here, I know we Seattlelites would be definitely cool with that!
