Draft Flashback

‘Welcome Aboard’ (Dustin Chapman)
Jazz take…Kosta Koufos – Is it all that you were hoping for? After all the waiting, the Jazz drafted what appears to be a younger version of Memo Okur. Maybe that will work out in the Jazz favor – he should fit well within the system – but can he take minutes away from Millsap?
It’s not the pick anyone expected. Most of that because Koufos was suppose to be drafted long before the Jazz picked. The Jazz had him rated very high and were excited when Koufos slipped to them at 23.
If you don’t know who Koufos is – he is a 7′1” 250 pound Center who likes to shoot outside. He is 19 years old and played last year at Ohio State. He also has experience playing international basketball with the Greek National team. Despite the international name and experience he grew up in Ohio.
The Jazz are now stacked at center. It will be interesting to see how fast he can work himself in to the rotation. It will also be interesting to see if the Fans are happy with the pick.
