10 Jazz Games You Can’t Miss This Year

As I’ve been looking over the schedule there were several important cross-roads of the season that jumped out at me and within those I spotted 10-Utah Jazz games you should not miss…

vs. Denver
Oct Wed 29  vs Denver  7:00pm  FSN - Season opener, need I say more. Look for a lot of points to be scored on the Nuggets, and by the Nuggets as Defense will be taking a back seat.

vs. Portland
Nov Wed 05  vs Portland  7:00pm  KJZZ - Oden returns, and that Pesky P-town crew that took Utah to task last season, this will be an early benchmark game for the Utah Jazz.

@ Philadelphia
Nov Tue 11  @ Philadelphia    5:00pm  FSN - Second game of the first big road trip of the year, and the new Philly lineup will be put to the test against a Western Power. PREDICTION: Brand has a big game.

@ Phoenix
Dec Sat 06  @ Phoenix    7:00pm  FSN - The road tested Jazz will be taking it to Phoenix, can they keep up with the lumbering cactus in the front court? Or will Nash show the Jazz why they are still a Playoff contender?

@ Boston
Dec Mon 15  @ Boston    5:30pm  FSN - Will Boston exact revenge for their St. Patty’s day Massacre at the hands of the Jazz last year, or will Utah continue to prove why the West is the best?

@ Houston
Dec Sat 27  @ Houston    6:30pm  FSN - Houston really doesn’t like us, now they have Artest, add some angry Texans to the mix and this should be a great game. Yao will be there (unless he gets hurt again), TMAC should be in regular season form for this one as well.

Jan Wed 07  vs New Orleans    7:00pm  KJZZ - Today is the first CP3/Dwill showdown of the year, why did it take so long to get to it? Who knows, but the analysts will be beating this match-up into the ground from New Years to today.

vs. Lakers
Feb Wed 11  vs LA Lakers    7:00pm  KJZZ - Final game before All-Star Break will test the Jazz at home against the team that sent them packing last year. Will there be a big trade coming as the deadline hangs around the corner?

@ Phoenix
Mar Wed 25  @ Phoenix    8:30pm  KJZZ   ESPN - Can the Jazz take the first of a back-to-back meeting with the Suns? The Playoffs are coming!

@ Dallas
Apr Wed 08  @ Dallas    7:30pm  KJZZ  ESPN - This game is in the middle of a season ending road trip that will likely determine the Jazz’s Playoff standings. What Mavericks team will we be playing? One that goes to the Playoffs, or looks to be spoilers?

Now that you’ve heard them, mark your calendar!

What games are on your radar?

I’m most looking forward to all of the Jazz/Hornets games. Especially after all of the “experts” have them picked ahead of the Jazz.

the “experts” have had the Jazz ranging from 4th place in the west to a paltry 7th place finish in the west. personally i give these “experts” the same amount of credit that i give to any movie critic out there (they just don’t know what their talking about 90% of the time).

I have to agree with ya all . I have said it before that I think that those polls are for the birds . They are almost never right , especailly at the begining of any season .
I would love to see the Jazz get their revenge on your hated Lakers , after they were so morally humiliated in the playoffs . But we also wouldnt want to give them any fuel in the fire to use against us in the playoffs , since we most likely will be matched up with them at some point of the playoffs .
I also think that they need a good showing against the Hornets if our beloved D-will is going to get any respect over Chris Paul . I think that we all know how we feel about the medias attention on Chris Paul . I beleive that D- will is every bit as good or better than he is . I was hoping that he would prove that in the Olympics .
There ya have my opinion , Go Jazz !!!!!!!!!

The game I am looking forward to is Dec 9 in Minnesota. It’s marks the 20th anniversary of Jerry Sloan’s first game as head coach, as well as the 20th anniversary of the first Jazz game I ever attended in person.

Bob,

That’s totally sweet that you were in attendance at Sloan’s first game as head coach. I’m way jealous.
