Williams Update: Two weeks = Four

Many of you are probably wondering why Deron Williams isn’t back yet. Turns out Deron might have been wondering too. It’s been that “minimum of Two weeks” that was originally reported. Enter Doctor #2 with a second opinion. Turns out the first prognosis did only tell half the story. Examining the original X-rays and going over the results his conclusion was “Four to Six weeks.”

Williams still believes he is ahead of schedule and could play a few games on the road trip – but not in back to back games. A more likely scenario would keep Williams out until the Jazz host Steve Nash and the Suns on November 17th.

The original news left the Jazz expecting to be without thier leader for the first 3 games of the season. Now it could easily be the first 10 games. The Knight for Hart deal is looking better and better.

Yikes! Thanks for the update. Its been easy to overlook Deron’s absence on the court because we’ve pulled off the wins (well, and because he’s looked like a million bucks sitting on the bench in his GQ fashion), but we can’t sustain this much longer without him…especially during a week long Eastern road trip!! Rest up Deron and get better soon!

And I’m glad you mentioned the Knight for Hart deal…seemed pretty inconsequential for both parties when it went down, but its making a lot of difference now! I just mentioned to a friend the other day how much I like Knight, and he responded “meh.” Are you kidding me??? We’d be 0-4 if Hart was eating up a roster spot. Because of what we were getting from Hart, all I ask of from our back up point guard is a distinguishable difference between his shots and his passes. For that alone, I love Brevin Knight.

I’m extremely proud of the way the team has taken a step up and played so well. I hope when DWill gets back, we will remember how well they all took care of things when he was gone!! I am also hoping that when some playing time gets cut, they will all understand it and keep the team together.

I have been impressed with all our players . they have all stepped up without DWill in our line up . That is to bad that we will not see him play as soon as we all expected . This road trip will be a big test for our young bunch .
I am also impressed with the way Bknighgt is playing . He has brought alot emotion out on the floor . This is a very much needed addition to our Jazz .
I just hope that BK and RP will continue to play well when DWill returns . Iknow that that is a hard roll to play , I am sure that it is as eqaully hard to keep that momentom going with alot less minutes .
Heres to our Jazz , go Jazz !!!
