Who Was That Masked Man?

‘The Legend Continues…’

The Suns were asking, “Who was that masked man?”, after getting hammered by the Jazz.

The question was, which masked man were they referring to?

Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear… The Lone Ranger rides again!

C J played like The Lone Ranger, shooting silver bullets from all over the court. Before the 6-minute mark, of the 1st quarter, C J had quick drawn and shot in 13 points, that, in Wilt The Stilt fashion, exceeds 104 points per 48 minutes. It was even Kobiesque.

Now, if he can just get his defense to the point where Jerry exudes a few accolades.

It looks like Kevin might have done it again, first in drafting CJ, and second, in matching the Thunder’s offer. Let’s hope C J doesn’t just ride off into the sunset, on his great white stallion, Silver, only to be seen playing up to his potential a couple of times a year.

Hi-yo Silver, Hi-yo Silver away!

Or, was it…

Zorro, whose secret identity is, Don Diego de la Vega… AK for short.

AK, as you already know, is a Russian nobleman and master swordsman living in the Spanish colonial era of old Arizona. “The Fox” has too much cunning for the bumbling authorities, or the Phoenix Suns, to catch him. He humiliated and outsmarted the Suns last night. He and Paul Millsap took particular delight in swatting around the fat boy, the bumbling sergeant in the TV series, and his errant shots. While not yet up to his “Mr. 5×5″ or “The Amazing Andrei” performances of the past, the poster child for the 1947 Kalashnikov Automatic Rifle, cut and slashed his way to the basket, cracking his bull whip, when necessary, to cower the Suns into the corner of the court, lest they be blocked or stolen from. “The Swiss Army Knife” just might be ready to kick it into All-Star/6th Man of the Year mode.

The Jazz’ secret weapon rode off after the game on his black stallion, in his black cape, his black cowl mask and the famed Andulusian, flat-brimmed hat, with his bullwhip at his side, after he had slashed a “Z” in the chest of the fat boy.

Ahhhh, The Mark of Zorro!

The Lone Ranger and Zorro returned again to decimate the Bucks.

CJ got 25 on 50% shooting and 2 for 4 from 3-point range. That’s 2 games in a row!

AK was ever so close to becoming “Mr 5×5″ again. 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 blocks and 3 assists. 50% shooting, 83% free throws and he had only 2 turnovers, with major minutes handling the ball.
He is really starting to blossom as a 6th man. For all the Jerry bashers, another smart move from the “predictable” coach, like playing CJ more minutes and keeping Ronnie Price on the floor for 40 minutes.

JR…You are so right in all of your blog. If all the players will just be mature and understand when DWill comes back there will be only so many minutes of play and that Jerry knows what he is doing when he gives out the minutes however he does. He isn’t trying to make a star out of anyone, he is trying to win and get to and through the playoffs. There will be games that some of us disagree with (and it will make the fantasy team game a nightmare) but he knows what he is doing and we need to stand behind him and say ” I wonder what he is trying to bring together with that lineup”? We have depth like I never remember!! I have tickets for Monday and can hardly wait. By the way, does anyone want to tell me what the answer was to the trivia question so I don’t go nuttier thinking I knew the answer for sure????
