I thought this post had gotten lost and didn't see it posted. Some great comments all around. There are a dozen trades that could have been done for Boozer, but obviously nothing happened. I keep asking myself, "Why wasn't he traded?". I think it ultimately boils down to two things. 1 - the injury scared teams off, and 2 - the economy is scaring everybody to death. I'm going to be writing my next blog about the economy. I hope it gets as much interest as this one!

For some of you to remember. I was just wondering, at the beginning of the season, there was this article on NBA.com talking about how the Jazz's offensive play was so great and how they do it, then ever since then, we haven't played as well. (Personally i don't think injuries were the total problem).

How about move Miles to Free agency? Every time he has the ball he pops up for the three with a hand in his face. I know he has some potential but I just don’t see it!, What we should do is keep Morris Almond out of the D-league! I think he has more potential than CJ, and he doesn't shoot wild threes.I say we should keep everyone on the team except Miles and just suffer another season and wait for when Dwight howard, Kobe, Lebron, Amare, Dwayne Wade and other all stars get out of their contracts in 2011 then we can decide if we keep Memo, Boozer, or AK. Or we can try to pull out another 2nd round pick like paul milsap was three years ago and turn whoever our draft pick is, into someone great like Milsap.

you have to remember that the Jazz have a full roster this year. We don't have the room for any trades that involve taking back more players then we send, unless we waive a player. That being said the Stoudemire trade would be awesome. If not then big Al Jefferson, Maid Marrion, Hedo Turkoglu or Gerald Wallace would all be great in my opinion. The most important part of this trade is to get somebody who is competitive and plays with emotion. Paul and Matt give max effort on every play, we need more Sloan type players who win or lose give everything they got. Dwill is competitive but lags on D and loose balls (possibly the worst three point defense on the team). Memo is slow and unwilling to play team D. I will give credit to Kosta because with limited playing time he always give great effort! Price to some degree also. Sloan's system is designed for hustle and rebounding.

I think its a great idea to trade C-booze for Stoudamire.

Is there a possibility to get Tyson Chandler?

Oh, and Memo is no Karl Malone. Plus he is almost 30. I am not saying he is a bad player, but I just don't see him getting a whole lot better. I love his game, but I just don't see him leading us to the finals like Malone did.

Trade boozer for al jefferson. He will want to get out on minnesota cause that team sucks and has no chance of winning a championship. Plus Jefferson and boozer's contracts end this year. Okur has been puttin up good numbers and if we get Jefferson we wont have to worry bout the defense. It would be a mistake to trade milsap because he is a work horse and fits into Sloans system really good. C.J. Miles has come along and i think he will develop into a good player

Mitchy Mack- That's what a lot of people said in the Stockton/Malone years right before they got to the finals. You don't trade your best players for change sake, not when they haven't even hit their prime yet. A lot of teams do that, and it hardly ever works out. You tweek the surroundings and show patience. You especially don't trade them in the middle of a season that is a nightnmare with injuries like this one has been. If the Jazz are healthy all year, I guarantee they have the second or third best record in the west. Do you think it would be a good idea to trade Memo under those conditions? There is a reason for the bad record, and its not Memo.

Why is EVERYONE wanting to trade boozer?! I don't understand the thinking you have right now wanting to trade away a man that averages 20 and 10. I love how Paul Millsap plays and what he has done with boozer out, but the jazz right now are a 9 seed without carlos and when we do have carlos we are a 4 seed. That is the main reason we need to keep him. And definetly not do that vince carter trade. He's way overrated and shoots too much, he kills teams because he depends on getting the rock and shooting 20 times a game. Jerry would not be acceptable to that and where has vince ever won? The raptors went to the divisional playoffs once in his time there.

Interesting possibilities.

How about Amare Stoudemire, who is disgruntled with Shaq taking all the low post touches, and not having the offense revolve around him, for Booz and Almond Joy? The numbers work. Both players can opt out and the Suns have an open roster spot for Almond.

Why it works for the Suns. Stoudemire can also opt out. the Sun appears to be setting in Phoenix. Amare may not want to return to Phoenix, especially if Shaq reups, as he has hinted. It might be a similar situation to Maid Marion. They might have a better chance to resign Booz, because he plays more high post, which works with Shaq. On the surface, Booz has the better numbers on offense.

Why it works for the Jazz. Stoudemire is more athletic, plays much better defense and plays low post much better than Booz. It gives the Jazz an open roster spot. Amare is a great shot blocking presence and the Jazz system is designed especially for a low post power forward. Booz is more a high post PF.

Why we probably won't see it. Fear! Tough to pull the trigger on such a high profile trade, especially with a Western Conference rival. It could cost a job, if it doesn't work out.

Thank you Brian McCann you're wisdom is impeccable. The Jazz are not and never will be better without Boozer. Re sign Boozer and Millsap let Memo walk. Or move AK for a 2nd round pick this offseason. (Then we have an even bigger problem at the 3) I would love to see Memo in a Spurs Uniform. Until we play them anyway. I see the Jazz just sitting back and seeing how things turn out.

To me, Kirilenko is more of a 3 than a 4...he's just being stuck in the 4 spot due to Boozer's injury. For that reason, I don't like the idea of trading for a 3, I'd rather trade Okur out for a better 5. But ignoring that:

1) Hell no. For one, Carter is way too injury prone and getting up there in years. Two, it's going to cost us. And three, he doesn't fit any better into Sloan's system than Miles... and I'm a firm believer that Miles will develop into a player that will bring a lot to this team....if people would just give him a chance.
2) Looks okay but I don't see Sacramento biting.
3) Don't like it, I don't see Richard Jefferson bringing much to this team.
4) Don't know enough to comment.
5) Don't really know either.
