I agree with Chris , I think that Boozer will be here after all the fire has been put out . I think that the Jazz need him .
I know what you mean about being frustrated with him coming back , but whe he does I am sure that everything will work out for us .
I think that this team has the potentail to be great .

He may be a better player than Amare, but at least Amare is healthy and playing. I don’t think this is the best possible trade for the Jazz and it probably won’t happen, but it would be better than having Boozer on the sidelines while the team struggles.

Boozer is a better player than Stoud. He’s a much better rebounder, much better passer, better scorer, higher field goal % and 6 points higher in efficiency rating (26 vs. 20 for Stoud). Amare blocks 1 shot a game and is better from the charity stripe. I would not give Boozer up for Amare especially when we may wind up in the same situation with Amare in 1 year. No one really knows what Boozer is going to do and to be honest, it wouldn’t suprise me to see him re-sign with the Jazz. Not at all. He’s keeping his options open as anyone would in his position. He might stay, he might go, but he has not indicated either way. He is one of the best power forwards in the NBA and he would be really hard to replace. He’s a good guy and I like him. I mean think about it, when he’s behaving he’s extremely likeable. I think that he is worth the gamble. Besides I think that we would do better trading him, if anything, for an all-star small forward or shooting guard. With Milsap starting with Deron, and Memo that would give us all-star caliber players at 4 of our 5 starting positions. And if it’s a rebounding SF we would be the best rebounding team in the NBA with Milsap and Memo. So there’s my 2 cents.

Boozer won’t be back before the trade deadline. He’s playing the Jazz, not playing for the Jazz. If Boozer actually was back before the trade deadline I’d love to see this trade.

Boozer and Harpring for Bosh and Parker OR Boozer and Almond for Bosh.

That would give the Jazz a potential line up of D Will, Brewer, Kirilenko, Bosh, and Okur.

I’m not sure if Boozer will really come back by Feb. 17, the whole time he was injured, he was like 1 more weeks, next week, next week, 2 months. He is really getting on my nerves.

I say trade Boozer even if it’s not a block-buster. Sure Utah could use a dominant scorer at the 2 or 3, but it wouldn’t hurt to just add some depth, especially some big guys. Boozer said he’s gonna walk…he is dead weight, so why not cash in and try to make a serious run in the playoffs? The Jazz aren’t a bad team. They just have some holes to fill.

One big factor preventing this trade is proximity. Phoenix and Utah are so close, that neither team wants to get beat up by their former players too much, especially if the divisions are re-aligned next year, putting the Suns and Jazz together (as was discussed on NBA.com earlier this season). If you pay attention, most major trades are cross-conference, e.g., Billups-Iverson, Shaq-Marion, Kidd-Harris, heck, even Korver-Giricek.
So, let me use this time to suggest something I haven’t heard yet: Wait until the end of the season, see if we still hate Boozer, and trade him for Elton Brand (assuming Booz stays).

I’m not sure, but players may be traded, ie the Knicks Mobley trade. However, if Boozer and AK are actually back on the 17th, it wouldn’t matter.

I wouldn’t put it past the Jazz to make a move like this. They don’t make moves for the sake of making moves. But if there is a real good one out there, they’ll take a shot. (Korver trade) Boozer has said he will be back Feb. 17 (2 days before the trade deadline) I’m not saying it will happen I’m just hoping it does.

I like the idea of the trade, but Boozer cannot be traded while he is injured. That’s a moot point anyway, because the Jazz won’t throw their hat into the trade ring. I agree that they are too timid to make a trade most of the time.

I agree that Boozer needs to go before the trade deadline. He is dead weight right now. Trading Boozer for anyone would be getting something for nothing, considering he will more than likely won’t be back next year. This wouldn’t be a bad deal but it won’t happen. Why would the Suns trade their youngest star? If anyone’s getting dealt by Pheonix it will be one of the overpaid old guys. This trade would likely also move Milsap back to the bench, which is a bad idea and would break my heart, since he and AK-47 are my favorite players. I know Milsap has struggled the past few games, but he’ll get it together. Milsap is a pretty good scorer and defender and has the potential to be one of the best rebounders ever.

Actually, Amare is probably a bigger head case than Boozer and certainly more emotional, but talent wise, Amare gives you a better low post presence, shot blocking ability and offense. Away from the basket, they both suffer defensively, as do most big men.

Sports City shows his 2009 and 2010 salaries as player options, so he could opt out, but Boozer has only his 2009 salary as a player option. Amare has one extra year over Boozer, but both could opt out. What have you lost? If you like him, the Jazz can pay their own player more than other teams, if you don’t like him or he’s too expensive, what have you lost?

I also love this trade but the Jazz could be in the same situation with Amare saying he’s opting out in the summer of 2010. He is just as self centered as Boozer and doesn’t seem to get along with his teammates. At least Boozer’s teammates seem to be neutral towards him. But I say let Memo walk or Trade AK for a draft pick (Salary Cap Reasons), then start Amare and Millsap next to each other. The Jazz could play incredibly fast and hopefully better defense. Plus the half court offense wouldn’t drop off that much I don’t believe.

yeah it would be a FANTASTIC trade but the jazz wont do it! i wish they would wise up tho and trade boozer before he walks!!! What better than Booze for Amare!!!
