if we could get Chris Bosh, Chris Anderson, or some really good guys who want to win, we could be looking at a good starting lineup

Kyle Korver – he needs to start
Ronnie Brewer
Chris Bosh
Mehmet Okur
then you got Kirilenko and possibly Chris Anderson and some other contributors and we got a team, hey, why not we look at Hedo Turkoglu, he’s a free agent and he opted out of contract, he won’t be playing for the Magic next year, that would be cool

Forget about Chris Bosh, I’ll do one better-AMARE STOUDEMIRE! Give phoenix whatever they want especially AK and whoever. They can package Boozer in a sign and trade, Okur the same thing. Just keep Williams and Millsap, Brewer, and Korver.Those four with Stoudemire or start playing Koufos more. Phoenix is looking to shop whoever they want anyway, even Nash “if the price is right.” The Jazz would get everything that Boozer is plus a better interior defender and I think he’s more athletic than Bosh. He even had better stats than Bosh when Amare was playing. Just imagine how revved up Jazz fans would be when the Jazz are playing the Lakers in next year in the first round of the playoffs game 7 in LA, and Kobe is driving for a layup and Amare comes over to help Brewer with his 6′11″ frame swats the ball right to DWill who rushes ahead throws a pretty pass to Korver for a 3 to Put the Jazz up for good in the final minutes. And finally advanced on the favored Lakers. Can’t you just feel the energy now. 1997-1998 all over again. The Jazz are back! YEE HAW. Now go get him!

Justalars- That isn’t the type of extension Toronto is offering him. They want to pay him more money now as an incentive to stay, not lock him in for the better part of a decade. There is no way Bosh would go for that. It would essentially assume that he would be locked in for the better part of what’s left of his career.

First off if Bosh signs an extension for 5 years he doesn’t lose the next two years of his contract, he is just under contract for 7 years. D-wills extension doesn’t go into effect till next season even though he signed it last year.

dude ive been saying this since last year when i saw his contract was gonna be up soon…i would love to see this man in a jazz uniform…i think that AKs contract right now is killing the jazz… the truth is the jazz wont have a chance at a championship until AKs gone…i love him but hes not worth a tenth of what we are paying him

Maybe so, Andy, but Toronto already has a history with running their superstars out for what they feel was a subpar performance. Example being VC, although, I think he might’ve came out afterwords and said he was… I don’t remember off the top of my head…

Booz can’t be traded until June 30th at 10 pm, IF he does NOT opt out. If he does opt out, the Jazz hold his Bird Rights and could do a sign and trade, if he wants to go to Toronto. Detroit? Miami? Even OK? But, I doubt he wants to go to Toronto. Just like Bosh wants to get out of a losing situation, I doubt that Booz wants to get into that situation.

If he doesn’t opt out, the Jazz can make the trade and be no worse off, contract wise, than if the keep Booz, even if neither signs an extension. Plus, as you point out Bosh is a much better fit, if even for a year than Booz.

Who knows, he’s played with D-Wil in the Olympics and the Jazz are a winning program, he might just love it here and sign on for the long term.

Ames… I think lot is going on right now but they are not about to let the public know until it is all put together because that might put a kabosh in something they are trying to do. Is Kabosh a word? anyway, the last thing they would want to do is mess up some deal by going public with another. I think it will be awhile before we hear much for certain.

It would be so awesome if the jazz were able to get Chris Bosh. However i don’t really see it happening….. But…. We need to make a big move to get us fired up!!!! We need to do something like the nuggets did with Billups, im not saying trade williams, im simply saying our team isn’t working well enough to get us a championship, so we need to make a trade to get a defensive leader (like Billups) that will fire up our guys.

So, when can we actually expect ANY movement from the Jazz? I know it’s only been a few weeks, but I am already growing very impatient. Trade Booz and CJ for Bosh, then give up AK for Maggette … talk about a powerhouse!

xbryonx, Toronto fans are not happy with Bosh because they thought he wasn’t trying at all during most of the regular season last year, that “he plays hard whenever he’s on the court” is just wrong. Bosh is also not a great defensive player, though he’s better than Boozer. Also, he loves the party scene, so he would leave Utah after a year, IMO, no questions asked. If Bosh was free, I’d take him, but we would have to give up really significant pieces to get him.

I’ve been on the Bosh bandwagon since he was drafted by Toronto. The guy is as classy as they come and he plays hard whenever he’s on the court. I would cry happy tears if he ever donned a Jazz jersey. D-Will to C-Bosh! Sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it?

I’ve been wanting Bosh on the team for a while, and the Jazz have the means of going after him. I agree, it won’t be easy and may not happen, but it is possible.

KOC, do your thing! Make us proud, and most of all, make us a championship contender!
