Yes Linda, unfortuately it is true. I live in Colorado so had to watch all the games by t.v. and saw him MANY times. The networks focus in on the bench quite often, especially when they expect the bench to be excited about something. (Plus I love to watch the energy of the bench so I watch it a lot) It was so frustrating to see the rest of the bench jumping to their feet excited about a play and Boozer with his face in his phone not having any clue what just happened. And it wasn't just for a portion of the game, it would be like that the entire game!!

linda i think you mis read my comment. i said jumper as in a jump shot not his ability to jump( which we all know he already has) i was pointing out that with due practice he will devolop a servicable jump shot. as for jenn's comment, she is right even from mid upper bowl where i was at every game i seen him texting quite often.

Spenser...I partially agree with your statement about being a born jumper and learning to jump. I think you have to have been born with certain atributes that help you jump. Then you practice, practice and practice to perfect them or you let them go away. There are some people who will never ( with all the coiaching and practice in the world be a jumper.) I believe Paul is a jumper and that he gets better and better because he is a hard worker and wants to develop that ability. He works hard and does so even when he knows he will not be getting any glory. We DO NEED him on the Jazz team because he is good and wants to get better.

tman11, you act as though every player with a great jumper was born with it. thats not the case they learned and worked hard to perfect it. ive seen pauls jumper get better and better every year. as for you thinking he will never be a starter in this league. the jazz did pretty darn good with him starting while the walking injury(boozer incase you forgot) sat behind the bench. wait i take that back boozer almost never sat behind the bench supporting his team while he was hurt. look at all the class acts and good offensive players who have gotten hurt, they are behind the bench supporting their teammates.

He can't stretch the court there yeah you can trust him from about 10 feet in but, hey i can trust myself at that range. He can't shoot like a star power fowards can shoot. He will never be a starter in this league and, if you can't start then you can be replace unless it's a guy like Manu for the Spurs

paul actually does have a decent ranged jump shot, you would know that if you watched the games. and a jump shot can be taught. i would take 16 and 10 for a whole season over 20 and 10 for 75% of the season. i think milsap is very capable of giving you 16 and 10. and we rarely ran a play thru paul which is why i say his numbers can be better. and when you look at it boozer wasnt any better after 3 seasons in the league, boozer got better and so will paul.

Wow that's all I can say about that Tmac bit, that is just crazy. The las two season he has missed over 100 games. Every says AK doesn't earn his paycheck Tmac really doesn't he hasn't been good since he left Orlando. He can't go for a whole season similar to Paul and, Boozer. That's is with out a doubt the stupidest idea of have ever heard of. We would bring popularity to are team but, that's about it he would hurt the jazz so bad if he was on are team.
As far as Paul goes your crazy for paying him 6 million. I'll say it again Odem is going to get paid 4 million and, Lamar is a way better player then Milsap. We did run plays thru Paul, so the numbers he put up last season will be similiar to the number he would put up if he started. Call me crazy but, I would take the guy that can go longer in a game and actualy play that 32- 36 minutes you are talking about and, that isn't Paul it's Carlos. When will you guys open your eyes paul is 6'7 compared to vboozer who is 6'9 6'10 Milsap is 245 to Boozers 270. Take the man with the size and, the jump shot. Paul has neither, well maybe he can develope a jumper people say. I have one thing to say to that he hasn't got one in 3 years he isn't going to change. I would take Boozer any day of the week over Milsap he is a better player, Milsap is a great player but, het isn't half the player that Boozer is. I think this year you will start to see Kosta take time away from Paul because Jerry will start to see there is better players on are team.
What's this boozer isn't agressive once again dude you need to explain you reasoning behind this. Because all i heard was goes goes down and takes a jumper and, walks back down the court. He also has lead the team with rebounds the last 4 years. You need to be aggressive to get rebounds in the NBA he also post guys up 80 percent of the time when he gets the ball how isn't he aggressive. that doesn't even make sense. O he can shot a 20 footer he must be a wuss. Yeah no that means he can actually run the pick and role, wich is anther thing Milsap can't do and, he can spread the court on offence. Boozer not aggresive that's a laugh

trade for tmac? now thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, the man is cursed, hexed, jinxed. do you ever want the jazz to get out of the first round? guess not if u want to trade for tmac. and tman where were you 2 years ago when boozer fell off the map in the playoffs, remember he averaged 20 and 10 but only hit that mark ONCE in the final 20 games of the regular season/playoffs. boozer cant really step it up either. and i am a firm believer that if you were to actually call plays for milsap like you do for boozer he would pull down boozer type numbers 9 games out of 10. as for artest he's worth way more than 6 mil a year, he could go somewhere else and get way more, but he's not playing for money anymore he is playing to win a title which is why he's taking a pay cut.

Yes, and AK played to his potential for two seasons. Unfortunately, he only justified his paycheck for those two seasons. The Jazz aren't giving Millsap 10+, and even I mentioned 5-6 million a year.

Trade for T-Mac?!?!? Why in the world would anybody want T-Mac? The Rockets had a better record when T-Mac was injured, and he is the highest paid (overpaid) player in the NBA. Plus, if you read the paper, the Jazz already explored an AK for T-Mac trade. T-Mac, like A.I., is a cancer to his team and not worth the 23+ million per year on his contract. He is a glass-man. Tell you what though, if we could get him for 10 million or less, let's do it. Until you can convince him to play for that much, forget it!

bottom line artest gets 6 mill a year what makes milsap worth more than artest. Once again if you pay milsap 10+ mill it would be ak's situation all over again. Remember the 16 mill to AK that was based on his potential?

TRADE KIRILENKO and millsap for tracy mcgrady. kirilenko isnt the old AK anymore and millsap pshhh he aint even near as close as boozer!!! hes only a little better at defense thats it millsap didnt do anything in the playoffs this year. he cant step it up during playoff time thats where it all comes down to. boozer had to do everything and he wanted everything!! thats the kind of attitude u need in the playoffs
so get rid of ak and millsap for tmac

you say milsap's numbers arent that great as a starter. i say open your eyes, boozers stats wouldnt even be half as good as they are if he had to rely on offensive put backs and scrappy plays. boozer has the numbers he does for the simple fact that he gets plays ran for him. milsap does not get many if any at all ran for him in the offense. a starter in the nba doesnt have to play 40 mins every single game to be considered worth it. starter minutes in the nba are 32-36 minutes a game. in boozer's last healthy season in 07-08 he played 40 mins or more 10 times. milsap went 40 mins or more 6 times last year. to say milsap can only give you 20 mins a game is complete garbage, he played 30 mins or more in 41 of the 76 games he played in. milsap played starter minutes in 33 games last year, id say he's capable of giving you 35 mins a game quite easily which is basically all your getting from boozer. ill admit milsap gets scraped up and injured quite often, he doesnt let it stop him from playing and contributing. every time boozer gets hurt he throws on the suit. milsap at least plays thru it and gives you something.

I'd take Paul over Boozer any day. Boozer is a wimp. He's only played 1/3 of the games he should have played and you talk about Millsap getting injured? Nobody is more injury prone than Carlos Boozer. Why anyone would want to pay someone millions of dollars a season to sit on a bench in a pretty suit is beyond me. Paul works hard for every point he gets. Carlos just expects things to come to him. It's ridiculous. He doesn't work hard. His defense is terribly weak.
