What are the Jazz Thankful for?
Posted by Danny Hansen on November 26, 2009

This is a great time of year. The NBA season is underway. The holiday season is approaching. Families everywhere will gather for turkey, football, and a Jazz-Bulls Turkey Day game. There is just so much to be thankful for. This time of gratitude and thankfulness also includes our Utah Jazz. Here is what I assume the Jazz will be giving thanks for this holiday season.
Andrei Kirilenko is thankful for Jeff Hornacek, who seems to have added a jump-shot to AK 47’s arsenal.
Deron Williams is thankful that he is on track to appear in his first All-Star Game in his hometown of Dallas.
Ronnie Brewer is thankful that he has mad ups and knows how to work the baseline. If not he would be shooting 20% from the field.
Wesley Matthews Jr. is thankful that Jerry Sloan rewards hard work and position defense.
Kosta Koufos is thankful that he is only 20 years old.
Mehmet Okur is thankful that he got a two-year extension before the season started.
Carlos Boozer is thankful that he is back to pre-injury form. He is also thankful that fans seem to getting in his corner. Well, at least some fans are back in his corner.
Ronnie Price is thankful that he won’t be getting surgery.
Kyle Korver is thankful he’s still got that face.
Paul Millsap is thankful for 32 million reasons.
Eric Maynor is thankful he can play with D-Will.
CJ Miles is thankful that he is only weeks away from returning.
Matt Harpring is thankful that NBATV is hiring.
Kyrylo Fesenko is thankful that he has a coach that will point out to him when he is too tired to catch a basketball.
Kevin O’Connor is thankful that not trading Boozer is looking like the right move.
Jerry Sloan is thankful to have a long home stand to close out November.
Happy Thanksgiving and Go Jazz!

Let’s all be thankful for the Jazz still being here. If the finances of this team go bad, we may not have the Jazz to kick around anymore.

Correction: Kevin O’ Connor is thankful that some fans think it was the right move not to trade Boozer. Or that fans are okay with a super mediocre team that, even with Miles and Korver, has a ceiling of a 6th seed in the Western Conference.
