I am 27 years old. I have a master's degree and a dog and I live in New York City. In 1987, my father received a prized gift. It was a basketball signed by the entire 1986-87 Jazz basketball team. In 1989, my little brother and I took the ball out in a rainstorm to shoot some awkward two-handed jumpers. When we finished the only signature still legible was Mark Eaton. Mark Eaton! I have been trying to make it up to the Jazz and my father ever since. This is really just another attempt at penance.

I am a 22 year old Jazz fanatic. I have studied the game of basketball my whole life and feel confident in my knowledge of the game. I go to Snow College and I am majoring in journalism and one day I plan on working within the Jazz organization. It'll probably take a while, but I plan to work one way or another covering the Jazz one day. I have followed the Jazz my whole life and I intend to do my best in blogging and hope to learn stuff from everybody because I do believe we can all learn things from fans.

After spending the first twenty years of my life in Utah, I have finally found a way to juke my athletic incompetence in order to immerse myself in the world of sports. Jazzbots combines two of my main passions, the Utah Jazz and writing, and I am (pardon the paltry pun) "Jazzed" about this opportunity in every way. I currently reside in Centerville and am attending Weber St. University in hopes of attaining a degree in English and History. I love spending time with friends and family, whether it's watching the big game with my brothers, or playing with my nieces and nephews. Other interests include gals, grub, and games of all kinds, in no particular order. So, hitch a ride with me on the D-Will express and let's hope it leads to Titletown! Go Jazz!

I am a 17-year-old kid/teen/adult from Riverton, UT. I am a freshman at Westminster College in SLC, UT, where my Jazz attire receives high-fives from the in-state Jazz fans and strange looks from out-of-state nonbelievers. I watch every home Jazz game from the upper-bowl corner, season tickets I bought with money I made from my job as a technology consultant for a real estate company. Go Jazz!

I'm a married guy, with a 2 year old in tow, living up in the fine city of Layton. I'm a Jazz fanatic cleverly disguised as a computer nerd in software design for my career. I get giddy everytime Deron crosses someone over and jump up and down in short bunny hops flexing my muscles like it was me who did it. I also play incredible defense against my TV screen when we're trying to avoid losing on a last second play. The words, "Utah Jazz" are said with a reverence in my house and I never, ever miss a game. Go Jazz!

I am 26 years old, and live in St. George, Utah with my wife Jessica. I am a recent graduate of the Marriott School of Business at BYU, and am currently working for RAM Manufacturing Company while taking night classes for my MBA. I like to keep myself busy, but I always find time for the Jazz. I have been a stat freak my whole life, and am borderline crazy when it comes to the Jazz. My list of Jazz achievements include missing less than five games on radio or TV between 1993 and 2001, waiting in line for 16 hours to get tickets to the “Jordan sick game” in the ’97 finals, and converting my wife into a religious fan (she grew up in Phoenix…Kyle Korver helped). I am now convinced we are primed to be back on top of the basketball world. I live and Die with the Jazz, and Deron is my hero. Go Jazz!

Just another greasy lawyer working for the corrupt Washington, DC establishment, I spend my days making the world safe for evil corporations and convincing people that "Hope" and "Change" are actually bad things. I've been described as both insightful and condescending, but I don't think you care what my mother thinks of me. I grew up in Utah following the Jazz and, in case you're wondering, yes, I do think Michael Jordan pushed off on Bryon Russell...and I still have nightmares about it.

Is it possible to write a bio that isn't lame? I was born and raised in Utah County (don't hold that against me), and I currently live where the air smells like warm dog food (that's Ogden, in case you haven't been). I'm studying business, marketing, and education at Weber State. My claim to fame is that my Jr. Jazz team went 12-1 en route to the Championship, which we won at the last second as our point guard banked a three from the baseline corner. How on earth does that happen?

Earl Stevens

Earl Stevens

My name really is Earl, and I am a life-long Utah Jazz addict. My path to addiction started in the 80's, listening to Hot Rod call games on the radio well after bedtime. Experimentation blossomed into full blown addiction in the mid 80's. I couldn't resist the Mailman's dunks, Stockton's dimes, Eaton's blocks, or the Golden Griff's three pointers from the parking lot. By the early 90's, I'd sunk so low that I was willing to sleep on the hard sidewalk in front of the Salt Palace and spend my prom "tuxedo money" on playoff tickets. I am lucky enough to have a spouse and four kids who tolerate/share my Utah Jazz addiction. I went to school at UNLV and currently work for a software consulting company. When I'm not working or feeding my Jazz addiction, I enjoy coaching Jr. Jazz youth basketball and taking advantage of the great outdoor activities Utah has to offer. GO JAZZ!

I'm a 65 year old, retired allergist, living in Salt Lake. I love to travel, play on the computer and go to Jazz games. I was born in 1979, the year the Jazz arrived in Salt Lake. Thank God I don't remember those first few years because they sound pretty awful. Dominique Wilkins for cash? I guess you do what you must in order to survive. Since my first Jazz memory--Darrell Griffith hitting a three-pointer at the buzzer to beat Dallas in a mid 1980s regular season game--moments in Jazz history have marked various periods of my life. My brother and I used to listen to the Jazz on the radio while sliding around our kitchen's linoleum floor, firing shots at the nerf hoop placed atop the pantry door. We also used to tape the games on the radio and listen to them during nights the Jazz were off. I probably listened fifty times to one game where the Golden Griff hit four three pointers in a quarter against Boston. Jumping around the living room as a senior in high school when Stockton's bomb beat Houston in Game Six still stands as one of my two top sports watching moments of all time (it's hard to beat sitting in Cougar Stadium when Chris Yergensen nailed that 55 yard field goal to beat BYU in 1993). Now I find myself living in New Orleans, where I teach middle school writing. I've made sure my students know Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams and I've even managed to convince a few to root for the Jazz over the Hornets. Go Jazz.

I've been a Jazz fan as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are going to Jazz games with my grandma and grandpa. I grew up in Emery County, Utah, but for the last 5 years I've been teaching school in Bullfrog, right on the shores of Lake Powell. I teach English, Spanish, and computer literacy. Jeffrey Wank

I am a 30-year-old, television agent from Los Angeles and for some reason, since I was 7 or 8, I devoted my life to the Utah Jazz. I can honestly tell you have no recollection as to why I became a die-hard Jazz fan, rather than rooting for the Clippers or Lakers. The only thing I can think of as to why I root for the Utah Jazz, is that when you are a short, white kid learning to play hoops in the late 80s, the only person I could identify with was John Stockton (or Mark Price, but I look better in purple than in orange). So because of that, I am Jazz fan for life, and I am going to name my first born "Stockton." Every year for my birthday, I tell people to get me anything with the Jazz logo. The first game I ever saw in Utah I was sitting by G-d but still got chills and a bit teary-eyed. My Bar Mitzvah colors were Purple, Yellow, and Green. I would get the Jazz "J" tattooed on me to express my fanatical worship (also because my name is Jeffrey) but then I can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery. So instead, I will resign myself to expressing my devotion through this blog.

I am a big Ute fan, but the Jazz trump everything. I've been an obsessive Jazz fan since about the age of 10. I have been a Jazz fan all my life. When I was 9 years old I would call Dave Blackwell, host of the post game show on the radio to talk about the game. He was the only one I could find who was as excited about the team as I was. From age 9 to 14 I never missed a Jazz game. I listened to everyone including games where I had to sneak an AM radio on scout camps or find a broadcast while on vacation in Las Vegas. These days I am 32 years old and have a career in marketing. For the past 5 years I have also been involved in freelance journalism. Among my freelance opportunities I have been able to cover the Jazz for www.jazzhoops.net, including conducting exclusive interviews with Karl Malone and Matt Harpring. Hey - I spent 10 seconds writing this, the least you could do is spend 10 seconds reading it. I'm 30 years old and spend 10 months of every year following NBA basketball like it's my religion. I currently live in Kaysville, Utah. I have been married for 10 years and have 4 kids (7,5,2 and 1 month old). I played basketball and soccer in high school and a little volleyball at Weber State. I enjoy pretty much any sport (it is the competition) and currently play in a flag football, indoor soccer and softball league. I love to golf. I have lived in Utah for 32 years and the Jazz are my team!

Year 1 Jazzbot
Trevor Fuchs

My name is Trevor and I'm 28 years old. I was born, and spent the better part of my childhood, in Colorado before moving around quite a bit. I finally settled in Utah and have lived in Salt Lake City for about 7 years. I have been playing the drums in bands almost as long as I can remember and have always found music to be my favorite hiding place besides the sports section of the newspaper. I am married and have one beautiful daughter and two...less attractive dogs. I have been a Jazz fan for over 16 years since I lived in Alabama and would only see a rare game broadcast on television. Now, I have the privilege of watching every home game live in ESA. I love the Jazz like a captain loves his ship and will go down with the team if it ever comes down to that.
